<p>I don’t think there’s a prerequisite for Morril scholars. I’ve received the Maximus scholarship so far but I haven’t heard from Morrils :?</p>

<li>Yes you can be both an OSU scholar and an ODI scholar.</li>
<li>You cannot accept both the general undergrad scholarships and the Morrill. It is one or the other.</li>
<li>The Morrill award is based on the essay.</li>

My daughter received her admittance letter to OSU on 11/26 and to the Scholars Program on 12/22 but have not heard anything back for the Morrill scholarship. I know there is one more notification date but do folks know how, why and when students are notified? Does this mean more than likely she is out of the running?

Any information would be appreciated.

How: email notification to OSU email (if you set it up) or personal email if you opted to have all correspondence sent there.
Why: to let them know they got the scholarship or if they didn’t (by mid-March)
When: the notification release dates are on the MSP website
There is one more date to go, so there is still a chance for anyone who has not heard back!

So a few days ago I received an email that said I had received the scholarship (on a date that isn’t one of the release dates) and then a few minutes later they sent another email saying that there was a glitch with the system and the email wasn’t supposed to be sent… I was just wondering if this happened to anybody else?

^^This also happened to me. However, my email stated I received the Excellence Scholarship, but I am an OOS applicant.

I wonder if this means you’re supposed to receive the scholarship, but they just messed up the dates?

@Texas2Ohio‌ I called in regarding this issue because I also received that email although I was awarded the Prominence in December. They said it was a mistake on their end and it was sent out to random applicants and apologized for their inconvenience.

I assume this was just an error then. No indication of a scholarship, as it seems that almost everyone received the email.

I know official notifications don’t go out until tomorrow but has anyone received any good news today concerning the Morrill?

has anyone in this post been offered a scholarship from out of state? also there are release dates on the website (like around 6 or 7) , so are those the release dates for when we should get an email? because the site says that notification is through email initially

@texas2ohio also, there is more than 1 release date! (if i’m not mistaken). these are the ones posted on the site
