<p>I live in the east, in MD. So i should have received it by now. I'm getting worried.</p>

<p>I also got my letter yesterday. I am going to session 1 and session A of the Air Force seminar. I find it funny that West Point rejected me in about a week, but I got accepted into both the USAFA and USNA summer seminars.</p>
<p>I got rejected from West Point's SLS too, but was accepted by USNA.</p>
<p>some of the SS 'rejects' happen to one school versus another due to your geographical location. You have a much better chance of getting into Air Force or Navy vs West Point if you live in say - northern NY. And if you live in Maryland you have a much easier chance to get into West Point and Air Force. The logic of the Academies being they are offering to students across the country who may NOT have any other way to experience their school to come and visit. If you live nearby - they figure you already have had some opportunity to see the place and look around. At least this is what some folks have explained the reasoning to me who are in the 'know'.</p>
<p>just as a note, i know bunches of people here in my class (09) who got rejected from summer seminar but got a direct appointment to the academy. the ss application is based on some ridiculously preliminary information, and often doesn't reflect many of the things that will go into your application score.</p>
<p>I received my letter today and got into the second session of NASS! </p>
<p>Just a quick question, in the packet there were two envelopes, one was a business reply mail envelope addressed to the dean of admissions and the other was a blank addressed to naval academy summer seminar. Does it matter which one we send the forms and deposit back in?</p>
