No PSAT scores yet? Commiserate here!

Emails from 5 colleges today, nothing from CB. Called them today (third time since Thursday) to ask why email was not received Saturday as promised - “Sorry, you will need to wait for the paper score.” I asked for my issue to be escalated - “we will get back to you in 5 to 7 days.”

An email from Tulane arrived while I was on the call -Arrg!

I received a message (DM via Twitter) from the College Board letting me know my son’s scores are currently delayed, our case will be escalated (I’ll believe it when I see it) and I have to wait for a case manager to contact me. No time frame on when that would happen.

Every other 11th grade parent at our school that I’ve talked to have been unable to view their scores and the GC can’t help because she claims the school was only sent access codes for the 9th graders.

Running in circles - the CB insists that GC of testing centers have the access codes for homeschoolers, CG says she has none and the CB told here to have homeschool students call the CB for access codes, CB says they don’t have the access codes, talk to the GC - I want to scream!!!

Small ray of hope, CB says they are still in the process of sending out emails maybe the email will get here before the paper scores? Hah! I’ll bet the paper scores won’t show up until after DS take the March 5th SAT!

My D got her scores from her GC today!

nothing yet

GraniteStateMom: how did that happen? Did the GC have a spread sheet?

@TheGFG, the PSAT is a different test and the questions are pitched a little easier. Given that you have many actual SATs available to you of the exact same format your daughter will take in late Jan, it’s silly to try to study based upon a different and easier test. Just look at her practice SATs.

@TheGFG - not sure what the GC has but D was directed to log into CB where she could see her scores. She sent me a photo of them while I was at work yesterday so I thought she had received a paper copy from guidance. Nope. Of corse this is the same guidance department that didn’t tell my son he was a NMF semi finalist until he asked them for the info, so who knows what they have. FWIW, D is another 99 percenter. Will be interesting to see if her score makes the cut off.

Congratulations to your D! I hope she makes it. Logging in doesn’t work for many of us still waiting. D can only see last year’s scores. The guidance secretary just told me that CB told them no one needs access codes anymore because everyone can just sign in and get the scores. Sigh.

On hold for an hour at CB. We have been sent to the “escalation” department, ha ha. Supposedly there is “missing information” and the account cannot be verified.

I just heard from the GC where my kids tested, she has no codes but knows other GC’s in the district do and has no explanation why she doesn’t. She does however have my boys test booklets I’m off to pick them up - just hope they marked their answers in the test booklets so I can figure out what they answered if not they’ll be doing it again at home for me. I know it won’t give me a real score but hopefully I’ll be able to see what they need to work on.

Anybody else have test booklets but no scores yet?

Woot! scores just appeared in both boys CB accounts!!!

@3scoutsmom
You escalated with CB correct? When did that happen? I escalated on Friday and am hoping the 5 to 7 days is a worst case estimate.

I supplied the CB customer service lady with D’s name, address, e-mail, date of birth, security question and answer, and the high school’s name and address. She said she found some scores but couldn’t be absolutely certain they were D’s. Supposedly there was some personal information missing on what D filled out on test day. She would not specify. Seriously, how many people are there going to be with the same name, address, e-mail, birthdate, school, and security question? I smell a rat!

@3scoutsmom Awesome! The wait is over for you!

@3scoutsmom SO HAPPY FOR YOU!

@CaucAsianDad I escalated on Thursday and was surprised to get a call back on Friday even though I was told it would be 5 to 7 days. But I wasn’t given any helpful information when they called back. I’m not sure if the escalation helped or not. I do know that the GC form the testing location spent all day yesterday on the phone with the CB.

I am just so relieved, it turns out that S18 is in a good place for the March 5th SAT (he got a 1500!) and S20 scored high enough to make the national homeschool honor society.

@3scoutsmom
Congrats to your sons (and their diligent GC) !

I am trying to find the silver bullet to get my daughter her scores. Can I have your tin foil hat now?

Yes @CaucAsianDad you are welcome to my tin foil hat but I already ate the candy cane;-)

Just checked and scores are up - Houston, Texas. The detailed score report should be useful for SAT prep.
