No PSAT scores yet? Commiserate here!

I called College Board a few hours later and they asked my son’s information and said to give them two minutes and the score report would be added to his account. AND IT WAS! When I called earlier in the day they didn’t even ask his name, only said “no access code, no report”. Nothing changed in that two hours between phone calls. Go Figure.

Just got off the phone with CB (forth time I think) to check on the progress with my escalated incident. This time they gave me my D’s access code, but it did not work (that would have spoiled the plot). Seems the issue is My D’s 2014 PSAT answer sheet does not have her birth date, so NO SCORES FOR YOU! They said they can fix it, but since I initiated my escalation last Friday, they do not need to respond until next Tuesday.

is it safe to assume that students who do not have their scores simply marked something incorrectly on their bubble sheet? Or are scores still being released slowly and im just on the unlucky end

No, our entire school doesn’t have scores yet.

Still no scores here in NJ.

Ugh, we had a visitor today come into one of our classes to tell us that CB has delayed our school’s scores entirely. (I Thought it was just me b/c i got the delay DM on twitter from CB and it turned out other students were accidentally looking at last year’s PSAT scores.) Of course, we have no idea when our scores will be released so I’m out of luck. Good news is, my district is paying for an official SAT testing session in April, so I don’t have to pay for the March SAT!

Wow, this is unbelievable. Did they give reason for the delay?

@TheGFG The guy said that CB could not determine why our school’s scores have been delayed, and they do not know when the delay should be gone. For all I know, we won’t get our scores until September…It sucks.

This is all so odd. They don’t know why they’re delayed? Why don’t they know what’s happening at their own company? Even if they had said it was due to some unspecified “computer glitch,” that would have sounded normal. But all the different excuses and then that non-excuse is suspicious.

Extremely frustrated! Exactly one week after the alleged score release date, still no score, no explanation, no expected score available date, nothing! I was told to wait for the paper score report that will be mailed the first week of February (previously the CB said the schools will receive the paper reports on 1/29, another promise not honored). But I have absolutely no trust in CB to put my D’s paper report in the right school pile, if they can even find my D’s report!

There is a webinar this afternoon by CB & GC’s may be able to get more info:
https://lp.collegeboard.org/help-resources-accessing-scores
Educator Webinars
Join one of these live webinars and a College Board staff member will walk you through the new educator portal from managing user access to finding and understanding the reports. There will be time for Q&A as well.

Friday, Jan. 15 at 1:00pm EST – Register
Tuesday, Jan. 19 at 1:00pm EST – Register

Will someone on CC be able to participate in that webinar and report back? One of the homeschool families perhaps? I don’t the regular families/students have educator login privileges.

Bearsgarden, I’m in the exact same boat as you.

Thanks CA1543! I won’t be near a computer at that time, but hopefully someone can tune in and fill everyone in?

I sent the link for the webinar to our guidance department. I honestly feel like they just don’t care. The GC just keeps telling me the hard copy reports will be distributed sometime in February.

As far as I know, it’s the entire 11th grade at our school who can’t access their scores. I could be wrong though because I can’t get anything out of the GC. The parents of 11th graders I’ve asked say they can’t access their scores.

The CB is taunting me on Twitter. This is their tweet from earlier this morning:
Students across the country are accessing their #PSAT/NMSQT scores. Get yours at http://studentscores.collegeboard.org

On hold with the CB again for the 5th, 6th time. I’ve lost count how many times I’ve contacted them. Someone answered after only a 35 min wait. And he promptly put me on hold.

The CB guy came back on the phone just now, after putting me on hold for 5 minutes, and asked me what my son’s access code is. OMG. I swear I want to throw the phone. I told him I don’t have an access code because the codes the CB sent our guidance department didn’t work! And shouldn’t he have the access code?? He put me on hold again. I don’t know why I’m even bothering.

Well that phone call went as expected.

The CB guy came back on the line and told me my case had been escalated on Monday (which I had told him to begin the conversation). He said I will be hearing something in 2-4 business days. I asked if it was 2-4 day from today? He said no since Monday. I informed him that today is day 4 and I want an answer. So he put me on hold again.

He says he has contacted the powers that be and he promises I’ll get a call by the end of the day. I asked him to add my cell number to the file since they have my home number. I doubt I’ll get a call but I don’t want to miss it if they actually do call.

@mamma1st I’m so sorry. My son’s school doesn’t have scores yet either. We were able to access my son’s scores because he had taken the SAT in November, but his friends are so frustrated! I came here to see if I could figure out how wide spread the problem is just to make another parent feel better. I have to say, the CB is looking pretty bad right now!

@Leafyseadragon That’s weird that your son can access his scores but the rest of his classmates can’t. I don’t think the CB has a clue what they’re doing.

My son took the SAT’s last May and October, and is signed up to take the March exam. He has an account with the CB. In fact he’s had an account since 2013. They’ve triple checked his information and told me there are scores associated with his account but they can’t access them and they don’t know why. His previous PSAT scores show up when I log into his account. I guess that’s why this whole thing is even more frustrating to me!

All I had to do to get my 9th grade daughter’s scores was create and account, and 10 minutes later there were scores in it. So I know it’s not a school wide problem since I was able to access her scores.

I would just like someone from the CB to give me a straight answer.

Finally received the access code from the GC. As expected, it didn’t work.

i just listened to the webinar - there CB said that their customer service dept can help schools figure out why certain scores are not available. If a school got a report that lists a students name (among others) but no score, the student’s test is on a “hold”. They also are apparently upgrading the memory on their systems which they say will speed up their relase of info etc.
