Was there a portal for NU? I never got an email for any login/password but I got a confirmation that all my stuff was received.

they don’t have a online status checking website, so a confirmation email is all we can get…

has anyone heard back? does anyone know when the decisions come out?

I also wonder when they are gonna release the decisions.Hopefully soon

Anyone received decision from NU so far? either rejection or acceptance.

I’m really hoping that NU releases their transfer decisions pretty soon because I already have been accepted to UIUC and the deadline to accept their offer is May 1st.

Some of my stats:

In High School terrible GPA; 2.7 overall after completely failing junior year.

ACT: 23 composite (taken once, hopefully not too much weight is put on this)

Overall GPA in Community College in Illinois (61 credit hours): 3.7

Graduating with Honor’s Certificate as well as:
-High Honors
-President’s Scholar
-Phi Theta Kappa

I also had an awesome recommendation from my Psychology Professor as well as staying involved in various sports and clubs while maintaining 25-30 hours of work per week. Does anyone know how well my chances of getting in are as well as when the letters of acceptance/denial will come out? I have applied to Weinberg with a major in Biology.

I called NU yesterday and they said the majority will hear in May with only a few hearing in April.

Hope we will be the a few people. Lol…

haha i cannot believe there are so few people posting. the cornell thread has 92 pages as of today.

yeah most schools release transfer decisions in early and mid May while now is the time that Cornell gives out decisions. Maybe that’s why NU’s threat is so empty and Cornell’s is updating every minute.

Does anyone know how many transfer students were accepted in previous years?

I have applied here but not expecting anything. Lol

@LYB1115

Most schools publish what is called a Common Data Set. Here you can find all the information the schools are willing to publish on admissions, student gpa, life, etc including TRANSFER RATES and number of people admitted. click on whatever years you want to look through. I believe transfer is section D

[Common Data Set, University Enrollment - Northwestern University](http://enrollment.northwestern.edu/common-data/)

@dzarbs, thank you! That’s very helpful. Good Luck.

According to the common data set, they usually release the decisions 2 months after the closing date, and we are supposed to hear back from NU before 5.15 this year…

@wilsonzhong

is the 5/15 notification date for certain? How did you find this out?

I’m not sure. just guessing…based on the situation of last year…

I need to let Vandy know by May 3 and UNC by May 15. I don’t know what’s going to happen with Northwestern :/

@Abhi12

Vandy sent you their decision?! I mean at this point it’s basically out of the running based on my acceptances, but I’m still interested that they have sent out decisions. When did you receive yours? Email?
