**Northwestern 2014 Transfer Applicant Thread**

@abear19‌ which school did you apply for? And congratulations!

Thanks! And Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences

Anyone apply to the school of communications?

rejected at 1:18 from the school of communications, but i was a long shot from the start. Good luck everyone!

Rejected from WCAS few hours ago, thought I had a decent chance with specific goals, 2240 SAT, 3.95 GPA from a top 25 university. I got rejected from almost every school I’ve applied to, so I guess my essay was lacking. I guess one more year here if I don’t hear any pleasant news from Brown, Johns Hopkins, or Chicago waiting list. Good luck to you all.

If any engineering applicants manage to hear back by June, please let us know!

Accepted to the School of Communication yesterday.

3.74 GPA
Theatre major at the University of Southern California
most EC’s had something to do with theatre, but also some other things from high school such as XC and a science-y job I had one summer

the BIGGEST thing I think made a difference was something else I sent in. I knew my stats weren’t brilliant so I sought out a way to make my stuff stand out. So I got a journal, and every day, I wrote down a reason why I wanted to attend NU. I did this midway of my first semester, up until the application deadline, for a total of 200 days/200 reasons. Yes, this may sound obsessive, but honestly it only took like 1 minute each day and in the end, I guess it helped me stand out. I guess what I’ve learned is that if your stats don’t make you a stand out, find your own way!

That is a novel way! Wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy to go!

no one heard back today? With the trend for the past two weeks, I had assumed that a batch of rolling decisions were being released every Tuesday and Friday…

I was thinking the same thing. Let’s keep holding on guys.

I got rejected about a week ago as an engineering applicant

There seems to be such a disparate wait time for decisions. How long are they taking to decide on applicants?

@KingofSweden‌ based on last year’s releases, a long time.

@KingofSweden, I know someone that didn’t hear back until the end of June last year, so a while.

@cj2017 Ouch. :-w

@KingofSweden, that person got in though! So there’s still hope.

Wow, this is moving unbelievably slowly. Last known decision was 2 weeks ago… last post was a week ago.

Just keep swimming.

I just sent in my grades from this term. Hopefully that speeds the process up for me?

I sent it in May 19th. Still haven’t heard back.
