Northwestern Fall Transfer 2020

Oh I thought you guys were talking about northwestern. I was so confused lol. Sorry that’s my bad

stop talking about Harvard, wrong forum and your not getting in

I went to their transfer thread and people are saying that it’s unlikely that they would release decisions in July. An admissions officer had told a person during their interview that they hope to release their decisions on May, but if it needs to get delayed to June, they would be notifying its applicants. It would be bad for them since virtually everyone would withdraw their applications and commit to other schools, so I think my guess would be May 8th or May 15th.

I think that Harvard is DEFINITELY delaying to see enrollment. I may just be ignorant of the process but I don’t really understand how the admissions process is heavily hampered in its efficiency by transitioning to online.

@20transfer20 chill out dude.

@ivysky can you provide the link to the transfer thread for harvard?

Also, there is the possibility that there is no fall semester (on campus) and that they are planning for January 2021

Here is the thread: http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/harvard-university/2165322-harvard-transfer-advice-2020-from-harvard-transfer-2017.html

It took me awhile to discover this thread because of its title.

Some people in the Harvard thread received an interview. Do you think if someone didn’t get an interview that it’s an automatic rejection?

why did we start talking about Harvard? doesn’t each school have its own thread?

This is a Northwestern thread, I appreciated that someone shared that the date may be later than originally expected, but can we please keep it focused on Northwestern?

Anyone get anything now since it is past 6:30 CST?

@ivysky nope, nothing.

People here talking about Harvard, you guys aren’t getting in if you are to be rude and talk about it on here. The thread is Northwestern.

And no, don’t say chill out. It is disrespectful to those on here who didn’t apply to the school you guys are talking about because for one:

  1. You are spamming the chat with useless information
  2. You guys can talk about it in the correct area.
  3. You are going to confuse the future applicants.

Either you meant to do it or did not recognize it. If you did not recognize it, just apologize to the others on here and quit it.

If you meant it, get the hell out of this thread. We don’t want you here.

Anybody think northwestern might release all decisions one the same day instead of doing waves?

While I generally agree with your opinion, though I did make a comment about Harvard myself, I think you are missing the point as to why the people were talking about it on here. People were speaking of how Northwestern seems to be waiting longer than normal to release decisions and someone mentioned how Harvard was delaying until June 1. This comment served more as a comparison to indicate the possibility of Northwestern doing the same. With that being said I do think that we should go back to primarily speaking of Northwestern in this thread but I do not think that it is out of line to discuss what another similar university is doing about the situation for a brief period of time. I do not believe an apology is required for anyone who did this.

thank you @MattTransfer2020. I did not apply to Harvard, but i feel that it is rude to tell people that they are not getting into a school for simply mentioning it on a thread. @thelegitbrian The details about Harvard are quite relevant to anyone transferring becuase what harvard is doing may happen to a lot of other schools. the thread is northwestern, and all of us here are waiting for northwestern, but other schools have been talked about before in this thread. especially with regards to when decisions are coming out, as well as deadlines to make a decision

@MattTransfer2020

I think you’re missing the point but go at it.

@thelegitbrian I will DM you if you would like to discuss this further, I see no need to continue cluttering this thread with our conversation.
