Am I at a disadvantage for being out of state? I really wish the end of January were sooner, HPME is on my mind a lot, it's my top choice.

On the HPME homepage, it said only a few selected members are contacted for an interview.
Does anyone about how many students are selected for an interview for HPME?

so you won't even be called to be told that you don't get an interview? We just have to assume that we didn't get one? what if we didn't get the letter by accident or missed the call?

"Due to a problem with our database, we had to revert to an older database. We had to go back a couple of days to get to a point where the problem didn't exist. " -CC

Once your selected for the HPME interview,
does your scores have no effect in the final selection process for acceptance to HPME?
Other words, are your scores and extra curricular activity list effective only before the interview and after does the interview
determine everthing?

I'm just praying for an interview first, because so far all the people I know of that received an interview have 1500+/2250+ on their SATs. I think your scores and stuff still count, including your mid-year report.

Hmm... well my scores are in that upper range...... I'm still holding on to the hope that people who live further from NU received interview letters first because they have to fly in / come from large distances...
