Notre Dame Waitlist 2023

My son just got the call at 6:00 pm Central time- He’s in! 36 ACT (superscored), drum major, section leader, cross country, track, and prefect of altar servers. I am an ND band alum, so he will be continuing the tradition!

@hpcsa He didn’t make me accept on the spot, I received an update on my portal that now has a deadline of May 19th.

I GOT IN GUYS

I am assuming that all calls for the first group would have gone out today and anything left would be those turning down today’s offer. In other words, this thing is more or less done. True?

@yellowbean @FALTO89 Excellent - congratulations!

@gonzaga35 No, I do not think this is the case. Calls to admits from the waiting list will continue, depending on available seats and expected yield rate. We understand from @yellowbean that admits from the waiting list then have approximately 2 weeks to make their decision. The university has a lot of experience doing this. Best of luck!

Yes, the deadline for me was May 15! Good luck everyone! This is a dream come true and thank you so so much to @hpcsa and @JDprospy for the tremendous help!!!

My heart is broken again. So happy for all those that got calls but the waiting and disappointment is so hard. I know he’s still holding out hope. We got a big shipment of Purdue gear today and I know that made him happy too. Such a rollercoaster. Wishing the class of 2023 all the success no matter where they check in come August. They sure deserve it!!

Congrats to @yellowbean. I am so happy for you.

@PopUpZone1921, Purdue truly is an excellent school. If your son is pursuing engeneering, Purdue may honestly be the better choice. Either way, Purdue is a top notch school so I hope he embraces it.

Thank you @suzy100 there have been two places we visited that felt like home - Purdue and Notre Dame. So he’s in a great spot either way. He is in the FYE program and planning to do industrial engineering with finance. Purdue def has a lot to offer him. That makes me happy and settled with his choice. So if he doesn’t get the call he will be just fine. There’s just this little part of him that cant give up ND. He’s worked so hard and overcome so much. He has autism and the road has not been easy. I’m so proud of him. Thank you for your encouragement!!!

Congratulations @camrynrbarnett @collegedad1234 @FALTO89 @yellowbean !!! Soak in this feeling-- the day I got into ND might have been the best day of my life. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions!

@PopUpZone1921, sounds like your son will do great wherever he ends up. All you can ask for is that he feels at home. Best of luck!

any idea when the next wave is going to be? (or if there will be one??)

@delee19 Waitlist activity will continue until the class of 2023 will be complete. Naturally, not all activity will be documented on CC. Best of luck and success!

I got in!!! Thanks for all the help in this thread :slight_smile:

@19mccula Congratulations & Welcome Home. Being waitlisted after REA deferral is tough. Glad it worked out for you in the end, which is all that counts!

Has anyone heard anything more? We are still trying to stay hopeful…

Thank you all! I’m from the Milwaukee area (Zach Klonsinski territory) and I got the call at 3:56pm central time (4:56pm at ND).
