What was it actually asking for?

The side length of the base was 8 so therefore the base of the slant-height would be sqrt(32). The height was the sqrt of the square of the slant height squared minus 32 (sqrt(32)^2).

I got 3 for the parallelogram/equilateral triangle. You can form one parallelogram with respect to one point on a triangle.

I got the same answer for the periodic function. Only f(x) + x was the wrong choice.

And the parallelogram question, I got a 3 as well :'D

The pyramid question? I first found half of the diagonal of the base and then used Pythagorus theorem. I don’t remember the value I got though.

What’s the difference between slant height, lateral height, altitude, is one of those the actual height? (The height that goes from the vertex to the base making a 90’ angle with the base plane)

What did you guys get for the depth of the water from the highest to the lowest depths given the equation 43.7-4.3cos((pi/6)(h-3)). I can’t recall the problem exactly but it is something of that nature. I worked it out but I just couldn’t get it to work.

@kerning - Lateral height and slant height are both the same things that goes along the side.
Altitude is a perpendicular from the vertex to the base.

@mbomb99 - I chose 8.6 :blush:
Because I thought 4.3 is the amplitude? So, lowest to highest would be double? I’m not very sure though :$

Also, what did you guys get for the question asking for how much of Solution A was needed to make the solution combined (I think it was 700) with Solution B to be 50% alcohol? Sorry, I don’t remember exactly the specifics.

for the cospi/6 thing its not 8.6. you just subtract the max from the min which i think was 4.3 or 4.2. i dont remember which one i put.

I recall putting 4.3 or 4.2 for the lake question. I don’t remember which one it was though…

I put 4.3 for the lake question

Aw damnn :/

@meeeeeeeeeeep for the 700 ml solution question I put E. I think E was 420 or something can’t recall.

Do you guys remember which answer choices you bubbled in for the last 4 questions. I got D for 47, B for 48, E for 49, and E for 50

I put 8.4 for the lake question, because it was something like 8.5+4.2cos(something inside here). So the most it can fluctuate is 4.2 above and below the 8.5. So therefore the range is 8.4. (might’ve been 8.6, but I’m pretty sure it was 4.2cos something.)

And for the solution one I put 420ml. D, I’m fairly sure. Cus it was 0.70x+0.20(700-x)=350. solve for x.

7.78% for 16.1 million pop
.76 for probability of at least one
largest angle 137 - law of cosines
periodic function I and II only
Polar coordinate one was (-1, 135) for the not equivalent - think it was B
standard dev = .1 for book and box - adding doesn’t change SD
Parallelogram 3 points
Area of square 4 times bigger
Depth of water 8.4

8.4 for lake. The difference between the highest and the lowest part is 2(amplitude). Thus, 2*4.2 would be 8.4(? The smaller one)

The one that wasn’t equivilant was B, but I was fairly sure that it was (-1,-45) because -1cos-45 yields -(sqrt2/2) not sqrt2/2 as all of the other ones do. But the sines for all of them are the same.

the one with the alcohol was 420

subtle college board
alcohol and 420…

Yes, solution was 420ml

Abs(x)=Abs(y) implies x^2 = y^2
I put Bill’s statement only for true statement in beginning of test
I put pi/2 for the value of k for cos(x-k) = sin(x)
I put 5 pairs for 2^n = 4^m for integers -4 to 4 inclusive
I put g(x) is greatest at x = 1

Was the answer 3 distinct points for function that started with .4x^4
