How long does it take for my SAT scores to get to NYU?

I just submitted the online app, but have not had my transcript, SAT or recommendation letter sent!

Is this a problem?

if you do it on collegeboard, i think it can take up to 10 days if you pay the $10 one

but you can do express for like $22 and have it in 2-3 days

my highschool said it can take anywhere from 1-3 weeks

college should be faster

it all depends i guess, i suggest doing it asap

I just submitted my app, but did not receive a confirmation email. How long after you submit it do you receive a confirmation email?

Serenityhope, I can’t tell. It really depends when NYU receives your application and processes it.

Your second e-mail should be sent after you submitted your application.

I got my 3rd email a day after I submitted my application.
I got my 4th email three days after I submitted my application.

I finished my application a few days ago. Now, to wait the longest 45 days of my life…

I applied on early monday at 12 am, and just got my 4th email right now!

Quick question:

To transfer into Stern specifically you don’t need to do anything more than just submit the NYU common app supplement right?

It was just a deadline yesterday and I’m sure everyone expects to hear from them in May or so as they said. However, my friend just told me that she already received an acceptance letter couple weeks ago and she is also a transfer (College of Arts&Science). It’s weird because on their forum they repeat all the time how they won’t start reading the transfer applications until April.

Anyways, I applied to Stern so I won’t probably hear from them for a while.

But has anyone else received an acceptance letter?

They do send likely letters to people with excellent stats, but I’ve only heard of one case. He was a valedictorian and he got his letter on the 15th last year.

Did anyone else get this email,

"We have received your application for admission. Thank you very much for applying.

yes, thats the 4th email. Now you just gotta wait for the admission letter(not email)

yeah i also got that email. Its just the 4th email. I so nervous about the letter.

I assumed that the fourth email would have explicitly stated that it was the fourth emails like the other ones did. Well I guess I’ll just wait now. Just a little over a month away.

Is it still possible to send my transcript? I submitted my app, and sent everything but my HS transcript. I went to the office to get it, but the lady was not there. Now i have to wait till MOnday.

i dont think its too late, though it might take a while for transcript to be sent in.

Make sure you have a pen and money order with you that day so you can fill it out there. Mine was like $5

when do you usually hear by?

Does anyone know how colleges send out transcripts?

Do they just put a stamp and drop it in the mail or priority? I am wondering how long it will take NYU to actually receive it.

ACCEPTED!!!

I wrote my stats back in March:::

I’m at a community college in the city that has an articulation agreement with NYU.

I applied online as a transfer to Steinhardt for the Communication major.

i also explained my unconventional academic journey. after high school i took 3 years off working at a non-profit peace organization and had a “life-changing” experience.

also, for those of you who want to know, i have spoken to a million admissions people at NYU saying SATs are becoming more and more unnecessary for transfers in their sophomore year. they also have assured me that your high school record won’t be detrimental.
