@tchristofaro2 i just applied for the spring 2017 semester. The deadline was december 15th and i applied december 14th. I think if you call admissions on monday and let them know you want to apply, they will let you. Listen, a degree from NYU is a degree from NYU. And you can also do an internal transfer to the school you like as long as you keep that GPA up. I literally got rejected, then a wrestling coach from NYU who was trying to recruit me told me “listen we can still get you in if you apply to the School of Professional studies paul mcghee division”
I orginally wanted to do computer science at Tandon, but got rejected, so now im going for information technology managment at SPS and planning to transfer in fall again to Tandon for CS
@popcorn11201 true you can do that also. I’d rather just get my name attached to NYU asap though as it opens a lot of doors to internships and opportunities.
Oh ok so since you just sent your deposit in it will take about a week to process (that’s how long it took for me) then you will get an email saying you need to complete the transfer student portal (it tells you about the core requirements and other general things) then once you complete it an advisor will contact you within two weeks and after you talk with them they will remove the hold from your Albert and you can register.I’m still waiting to be contacted by an advisor. Hope that helps
No you can apply for housing once they send you an email and you set up your NYU account. I’m in the process of applying. You have to submit a $1000 reservation fee so once I get that I’m going to submit it
The Paul McGhee division for undergraduate is just as good as the other schools at NYU… if the program you want to study is in McGhee, then I recommend you apply for it. I’m transferring to the McGhee division, and yes it is the most accepting school for transfer students. It’s still a competitive program and will allow you to take every other class available at NYU…
