@collegeJerome Somebody said earlier that it is on January 20th.
How many credits are they transferring for you guys? And do you know which residence hall is for primarily seniors?
I got the email after I made the deposit? Now how do I get housing?
Senior house on 13th street is for seniors only
Anyone in CAS fill the core requirement of natural science with transfer credit? If you did which courses did they accept?
How do I get housing? And how do I sign up for orientation?
PLEASE someone answer ^^^
They sent an email saying you can apply for housing through the housing portal and there is a mandatory orientation January 19-20 (all in the same email) You can only apply for housing if your net and password has been set up
Also housing isn’t guaranteed
Hi, I will be applying for Fall 2017, and figured I would post in here to get an opinion on my chances since the fall transfer thread is all but dead…
-Applying to Stern
-Currently a freshman at a CC in Pennsylvania (they have a pretty good reputation)
-GPA for the fall is a 4.0, with an A in Calculus 1
-Completed 16 credits in the fall; most, if not all, should transfer because I have only completed GE courses and the 1st class of my writing requirement (Composition 1, Composition 2 is in the spring)
-Will be completing 17 credits in the spring which includes a Statistics class and Calc 2
-HS GPA was a 2.78 (trying to redeem myself)
-SAT is a 1700/2400, 1150/1600
-Have a letter of recommendation from my Calculus professor
-Don’t really have any EC’s, there wasn’t anything that interested me in High School (including the academics, quite obviously) and I’m looking to be in and out of my CC in a year
-Also, my community college is pretty big, and the main campus (where most of the events take place and clubs meet) is 40 minutes from me, so it really isn’t worth the time or gas for me to get involved
If anyone could give me an idea of where I stand, I would really appreciate it. You can see from my username that I am also interested in USC, and I molded my schedule based on their articulation agreement with my community college, so hopefully USC and NYU have some courses in common! Thanks!
Uhhh, just got my financial aid email like 5 minutes ago.
3k fed grant and 4.2k scholarship. And the rest (28k) are loans and work study.
Thanks for the package NYU. I will go somewhere else.
@titankcom how much was the total cost you would have to pay with tuition and housing and everything. still didn’t get my package so trying to get an estimate by asking around. thanks
@DenNuggs4life Through their “Cost of Attendance” page on my Albert, it would be around $36k per semester. The package I posted above is also per semester.
The package does cover the entire tuition. So if I go here, at least I wouldn’t have to deal with private loans.
Do you think we’ll be making our schedule before January 4th?

oh guys! I got accepted to Steinhardt, forgot to post in here!
does anyone know more about the mandatory writing proficiency exam that nyu makes all CAS transfers take? http://newstudents.cas.nyu.edu/page/prep---->>>It’s all the way at the bottom of that link. It would be helpful if anyone knows what would be on it cause I’d like to do well and not take any additional nonsense class.
Did anyone get the Student Center link on their Albert yet?? Apparently you need it to access the shopping cart to register for classes, but I don’t have it.
I have a feeling the exam will make you write an essay in response to a prompt. I think if you’ve taken expository writing at a 4 year college you will be prepared. And to whoever asked if we were going to receive an acceptance package in the mail I got one today
