NYU Class of 2022 waitlist

does anyone know if stern waitlists are done??

@20122638 Hi, did you get an interest email this year that said that? Because mine didn’t imply that at all, it simply asked if I would accept an acceptance to NYU if financially able to do so

Where did you guys here about CAS? Does anyone know if NYU has spring admission?

@filmnerdie Yes we got the same email thats literally what it says. In the email it literally says scholarships and aid funds are very low and then they say if you want to stay on the waitlist say yes “i will 100% attend and am financially able to do so”.

Do you guys think that the first round of waitlist acceptances from Tisch are done? Last year they went out on May 10 and 11 but this year I’m not so sure…

I haven’t heard a peep about anyone getting interest emails for Drama. We have a bunch of friends that are WL for Drama too and it has been crickets. They may have already hit their yield. Most people I know have accepted. Who knows. Just get happy with your choice and if it happens, great. If not it wasn’t meant to be. You can always travel and move to New York once you graduate from another drama school.

When does Tandon come out?

I haven’t gotten these emails. (Waitlisted at stern) does that mean I’m probably not getting off the waitlist?

I️ just called and the supervisor said they’re doing rolling notifications which have already began.

any word from CAS? or the Liberal Studies Program?

@tpk_3ap we’re on the same boat pal

@tashi25 For all schools/programs or just some of the small one i.e., Not yet gotten to CAS or LSP.

I️ didn’t ask specifically, sorry!

from waitlist FAQs: If we are able to offer you admission, we will consider you for need-based and merit-based financial aid, assuming you have already completed our required financial aid forms online by our respective deadlines earlier this winter. If we are able to offer you admission, we will not expect you to commit to enrolling at NYU until after you review your financial aid award. … so? I don’t understand where you saw that funds are limited and that you must be able to pay in full.

Hi I got the interest letter on may 2nd and still havent gotten anything yet… when will it come out? I first thought it is a good sign, but now I feel so nervous:(

same with you. So worried right now:(

If you don’t mind, what are you waitlisted for?

@qwerty10986 and others… I"ve said this before pages ago in this thread, but I’ll say it again. Last year my daughter got the ‘interest’ letter. Responded appropriately and immediately ( no need for aid btw). Thought it was a sure thing she would get in based on the CC threads. NOTHING. Finally got the official rejection in like JULY. My point is, it is time to face reality and love the school you committed to. If you happen to get off the waitlist at NYU it will be amazing. But sorry, it really is unlikely, and that is how you have to look at it.

@tashi25

Sorry, you said you called the supervisor, and they indicated that they are practicing rolling notifications? So does that mean that the ones who submitted their waitlist response earlier do, in fact, get priority?

@imonthewaitlist I️ was wondering the same thing. Unfortunately I️ didn’t get the chance to ask, however when I️ think about I️t, I️ doubt that’s the case, because one person who is much less qualified could have answered 10 min after, and someone much more qualified could have answered a week after. By rolling, I️ think the lady just meant that they’re sending them out in waves
