@waitlist2018 i dont think so. Or at least not in this thread. I looked back at last years also. It seems like last year the people who got addmitted for spring got notified first, and none of them recieved the so called āinterest letterā. So now we wait. Alas.
Daughter got off waitlist yesterday for Steinhardt MCC for Spring admit as well on the accelerated program so she can graduate at the same time fall 2018 admissions start. She is sticking with BU. Good luck to those hoping to get off waitlist.
@Asil65 great news for daughter. I hope this is the end of the stressful journey for her.
One clarification on financial packages. After checking NYU site as stated limited merit is accurate, they focus their money on needs based. With that said, one would hope the needs based goes to those who have the strong academics. I would think schools try to trade off the two, merit and needs, making a schools price attractive to the target students, which has been my experience with the 9 other schools I applied to and got accepted too. @cctthhjj Did you originally apply to CAS only and then open up your options when you filled out the waitlist form to include GLS and CAS, thus, getting offered Spring admittance to GLS. Just curious. Congratulations and I hope you enjoy NYU if that is where you choose to attend.

I sent a DM to NYU admissions Twitter and got this answer:
Hi! Unfortunately we arenāt able to estimate exactly when or how much waitlist activity will take place, as it varies greatly from year to year. It will be occuring on a rolling basis from now until the end of the summer, and itās entirely dependent on whether or not admitted students decide to un-enroll AND if the Drama department opens those spots up to waitlisted students.

Hey, Iām new here but Iāve been stalking this thread since April lol. I see a lot of people asking about Tisch Drama, was wondering if anyone knows anything about Film & Television. Could only find that one case of a student getting taken off the waitlist early but thatās about it. If anyone knows anything please let me know, feeling a little anxious.
Have people mostly been getting in for spring semester or is there some for fall too?
Should I just give up on CAS, or is there still hope.
No word on threads regarding tisch tv/film. thereās a lot of representation on here for drama though! tisch tv/film silent, we are waiting too! We are not hopeful though and feel very bleak. As reported in another cc thread, S was rejected from chapman last night. still raw on that WL reject. Feeling tisch will be the other shoe to drop. No controlā¦
