Any of these theories or assumptions HAVE to be killed by the Admissions people. Imagine the chaos it would cause if they made any official statement that any of these were real. That would be embarrassing to NYU admissions. That is not to say that the theories aren’t true. The trend IS there. We just have to wait 4 more days and see

Exactly. Just like they have denied the FA change on Albert, there still has been a strong correlation seen. Similarly, the people in the ED1 thread who have reported their program being changed to LSP, most (if not all) have been accepted to LSP.

We are so close yet so far. Jesus these next few days are going to suckkkk. I can’t bring myself to enjoy the last few months of my highschool career until I for sure know where I’m going next year! NYU would be seriously a dream come true… and living in NYC… it honestly cannot get any better than that. I at least have some acceptances under my belt and a deferral (F**k Wharton) but im really anxious to see who from this thread (I hope all) get in!

^I know that feeling… all my friends already know where they’re going and I want to ‘join that club’ haha

I want to join that club too, but I’m not sure if LSP is the way to go. We’ll know on Friday!

Do we find out our acceptances on 2/15/14 at 12 AM? Also is the “Award access not available” the FA thing you guys are going mad about?

Yes with a year next to it. Wefind out on the 14th

so i just got my second quarter grades today and did really poorly (6 APs are a lot of work!!) i now have 2 C’s on my report card… do you think this late after i got the FA change that NYU could see my second quarter grades and reject me??

Good luck to all you EDII Applicants!

Head here for some good luck charm:
http://nyuhub.■■■■■■■■■■/goodluck

If you have any questions or are freaking out, feel free to track down one of the editors of the hub or a current edi student via the student directory. :)

can we talk about housing in case we are lucky enough to get in??

which are the top dorms for freshman other than hayden and thirdnorth… and wat are the reputations of the dorms?

After perusing this (very long) thread, I would like to help dispel some rumors about FA Changes and OGS Accounts, etc etc.

A change in your FA does NOT mean that you have been admitted to NYU. In fact, there were several EDI applicants who were rejected with a changed FA. Concurrently, there were several EDI applicants without any FA change (who still don’t show any sign of FA change) that have been offered admission to NYU.

The only indication of anything in the admissions process is having your major/school switched to LSP. That indicates that you most likely have been rejected by the first choice school that you have applied to and are being considered for placement in the Liberal Studies Program.

Also for the people who applied first choice NYC Campus but have received an interview for NYU Shanghai (because of 2nd/3rd choice options), please don’t panic about your EDII binding agreement. If you are rejected by your first choice campus (NYC), and you are offered admission to NYU Shanghai, you won’t be bound by your Early Decision II agreement. This has been confirmed through several emails.

I’ll be monitoring this thread for the next few days to settle some panicky people down. I totally feel you all; my EDI wait was basically a chronic heart attack.

Don’t private message (unless you must). Just post and I’ll read it eventually! :D

so you mention “several” but I only found 1… sooooooooooo either way you’re right it’s just a theory. sooo good day to you sir! :)

@rodrigo9

You’ll get plenty of dorming information once you get in and join the NYU Class of 2018 Group on Facebook. In fact, there’s an entire FAQ section for that once you join. :)

For now, just know that Hayden will not be available during our freshman year as it is undergoing renovations.

@chances1please I’ve been at this a lot longer than you have, and talk to more than just the College Confidential posters about this. We’ve discussed this at length in several Facebook threads and posts, and it’s been proven beyond a doubt that FA change does not correlate with acceptance. At most, it might mean that NYU Admissions have made a decision about your application. And good day to you.

Okay. I am really done discussing this, as I don’t really care that much and I’m just on the wait train until Friday.

Hopefully we can have this discussion on the group or on campus later in the year.

@chances1please Cute. You joined in January doe.
In the meantime: http://nyuhub.■■■■■■■■■■/goodluck to you!

Well we’ll just find out Friday. It’s so close yet so far :(

I liked your snide comment about the admin powers now THAT’s cute

I just watched it and I appreciate it! That was actually really cute (sarcasm + snideness not intended)

@VioletAvenger Very helpful thank you. But would you say there was at least a stronger correlation of FA change = acceptance than FA change = rejection? (While keeping in mind there were indeed people with FA changes who have been rejected)

@outonalimb Almost everyone who was accepted had an FA change. I wouldn’t trust it as an indication of anything more than an update on the office reviewing your application though.
