NYU(NY) ED1 2018 Discussion

I don’t think they they screwed anything up - I think there’s just confusion about the dates. If he posted that, it’s possible that that is the correct date, and that December 13th is wrong - whatever it is, I don’t think we should blame the admissions officer of screwing anything up. I mean again, speculation is pointless until we get word from them clarifying.

Is anyone available to give them a phone call and mention it to them?

This might not be important but my FA jus changed

That’s good to hear, but I don’t really think that it means anything at this point.

I don’t think nothing really matter until next Friday.

My FA changed, too. They must’ve updated a whole group of applicants. For anyone that didn’t read the blog post, admissions officially said that any kind of change on the FA page, or lack of change, doesn’t indicate admittance or rejection! Woo! :D

Yeah - mine hasn’t changed, but again, means nothing :D

What I really want to know is when we are getting the decision. If it ends up being the 15th I’ll be so upset about having to wait 2 more days. This is stressing me out.

Isn’t 15th the Sunday? I don’t think admission people work on Sunday. And most colleges do send out decisions in Friday tho

On***********

This blog post for the admissions officers says it will be sent out the 15th: [An Update for Early Decision I Applicants | NYU Admissions Blog](<a href=“MEET NYU - Home”>MEET NYU - Home)

Also I do have some friends applying to other colleges who expect their decision on the 15th

Just wanted to clarify and say that I called over a week ago. Thought it was strange that emails would go out on a Sunday. I believe the person who answered was a student and he clearly said that decisions would go out on December 15. Again, that was about ten days ago. I’m going to call again tomorrow and will post after I speak to someone there!

Then it looks like the 15th is the day. It’s possible they are slightly later because of the ED extended deadline. Who knows - doesn’t change much.

If anyone cares, my FA status changed to 2015. Not that it indicates anything, especially after that blog post. But it changed.

I’m really losing sleep over this FA thing.

They say that it means nothing…but you never know. It just seems odd that some people have had it recently changed and some haven’t.

i just checked and my FA changed to 2015 too !

At least it’s something. But I hope it’s the 13th cuz I can’t wait for 2 more days

Where did you see the change?

On the Albert page, if you click on Financial package summary, it should show you

It’s in “Financial Aid Summary” in your Albert account, but a change does not indicate acceptance.
