Just got my email today and applied on tuesday. You will get an id simply by applying(regardless of your decision.). This ID will get you into NYUhome. From there you can be linked into Albert and view your checklist of submitted materials. That’s pretty much it, but it was cool to get the email today.</p>

<p>Well, just submitted my app last night a few hours before the deadline! </p>

<p>My daughter applied ED yesterday and in contrast to her common app essay, which was creative and compelling, there seemed to be limited room for much beyond a direct and simple answer. The essay spoke truth by talking about the standard attractions of NYC and NYU, which are obvious. Perhaps there was a more creative way to say it. She stayed with a simple but straightforward and truthful message, and ought not to be penalized for doing that. It’s not a creative writing contest, after all.</p>

I applyed to Stern!! anyone else has too?
I am an international student with a 590 in CR and 720 in maths on the SAT… Do you think this could be enough for me to be accepted?</p>

<p>One odd aspect of the supplement was that it asks whether the applicant would like to be considered for admission to an alternate school if not admitted to the school of your choice. My daughter has applied to CAS, for example, and indicated that she wants to Major in CS. I wonder if that suggests that they might admit her to Polly if she is not admitted to CAS? </p>
<p>Would any of you consider going to NYU if you are admitted to a different school from your first choice?</p>

<p>Mandyrocks, I don’t know your stats, but your math seems good - your CR would probably be forgiven because you are an international student. </p>

By the time I got my email, my recs and transcripts had all been sent. However, when I logged onto Albert to check my app status, NYU had not received my transcript yet. So you don’t have to worry about them receiving all your information before sending you the email.</p>
<p>Thanks - yeah all of my stuff has been sent except for one, “other recommender” rec letter. But I want my Albert login! Heck, I want my decision now haha!</p>
<p>I applied NYU tisch film and television ED1. My act scores were really low but i retook the oct test and hope to get them next week. do i just send them again to the school if i indicated it on my common app. i applied ED1 to show my devotion to the school and it is my dream to do film there.</p>
<p>Yeah, send them as soon as you get them. Though I think test score stuff is slightly different with Tisch.</p>
<p>yea i keep hearing testing is secondary for tisch, and the portfolio is primary. I put my heart and soul into my portfolio, essays, and ECs. In addition to a duel HS curriculum. may the odds be in your favor (and mine) :D</p>
