Congrats to those who got accepted!! :)

I must say, out of the few denial letters I have seen in this process, NYU’s was incredibly pleasant…

Conrad,

On behalf of the Admissions Committee, I am writing to share the news that your admission decision is on its way. On Friday, March 29, we mailed your decision packet via express postal mail, and you should be receiving it in the next few days.

We thank you for your continued interest in New York University and look forward to speaking with you again in the future.

Sincerely,

Shawn L. Abbott
Assistant Vice President for Undergraduate Admissions

What does this mean? Applied to BPE at stern, and someone who applied to the same program in my dorm got a waitlist email just now.

Got the email a few hours ago. Wait listed. 2020 SAT. 3.78 uw GPA. Actually surprised I even got wait listed. Applied to stienhart. Congrats to those who were accepted!

@FoEverhard

you got in and they’re sending your admission packet in the mail. most likely.

Accepted to Stern with an awesome scholarship! I can actually afford to go to NYU!

I got my decision via snail mail, which is strange considering this morning I got the email saying my admissions decision was on its way, and that they mailed it today. I still haven’t gotten any acceptance email and there’s been no updates to my Albert. So if you haven’t gotten anything yet, it definitely doesn’t mean you were rejected!

got into LSP with a scholarship!! yay!!! congrats to everyone else who got in, and for everyone who didn’t get in, i’m sure you’ll thrive and be happy wherever you go :)

D was accepted, had the FA status change (2014 chart) a few weeks before, got switched into LSP. Pretty sure she won’t go. It’s not worth the sacrifice and debt, we’ve concluded. She has her whole life to live in NY if she so chooses, but you only go to college once. Better to go somewhere where you can feel confident that she’ll have access to the very best that the institution offers, and we’re just not convinced that LSP is that, at least not for her. Good luck with decisions everyone.

Did everyone else get mad good financial aid? Stern in particular

hhmmm…I have a bit different mail, yet accepted to CAS. There is no information pertinent to receiving mail by express. Can anyone help me?

@shivshiv

I was accepted to Stern and my out of pocket costs will be a little over $10,000. Not bad for a school with a price tag of $64,000! ;D

Accepted to CAS, but my financial aid status still says “Award access not available”
Does this mean I’m not getting any money, or did they just not update mine yet? A bit confused…

^Same, I was accepted to Stern with a very generous scholarship, I would only need to take out 11,000 in loans to attend.

Accepted to Stern, 3.55 UW GPA and 2290 Asian Male. I think it was my EC’s the pushed me through, especially since I am captain of my track team and FBLA president. Like a couple others, I have not yet recieved a financial aid package so we will see! :)

S accepted to LSP after being switched from CAS. He would love to go to NYU, but I’m
not sure he’s thrilled by this outcome. Anyway, he
was also accepted to Brandeis & Trinity. It’s good to have choices.

Good call.

Oh yea. if u were considered for HEOP does that mean you have a chance of getting in?

Has anyone had personal experience with LSP? How hard is it to switch into your intended major after two years?

@NatChat123 Congrats! It was in the second paragraph of my acceptance letter. I got in through email. I have no idea, but I chose London as my first choice.

I was accepted to the GLS: Paris, but for the financial aid page on Albert it says ‘Award access not available.’ Does anyone know what this means?

I’m getting rather anxious…
