everyone turning in or getting request for midterm reports… how many credits do you currently have and what is your GPA like??
@jakecap1123 I am a second semester freshman with 27 hours completed as of last semester, and I am currently enrolled in 12. My GPA is 4.0 and my midterm report is also a 4.0! My HS GPA was a 3.967 with a 33 ACT
Just a quick question, for those who are being requested for a midterm report, what school did you guys apply to?
@jakecap1123 I am also a 2nd-semester freshman, GPA is a 3.78. I haven’t submitted my midterm yet, they requested last Thursday but I haven’t gotten all my professors to sign off on the form yet with my current grades. I called NYU and they said the midterm report is supposed to be supplementary and doesn’t really have an effect on your application. Was concerned because of some of my classes grades aren’t calculated until after finals so my professor wrote “not known” for the grade. NYU said it shouldn’t reflect badly on my app tho lol.
@jw8001 CAS, with tandon, stern, and gallatin as backups
@taylor99 how did you submit your midterm report? I would like to submit mine as well but can’t seem to find the paperwork!
@thispersonsthat You download the paperwork Fromm Common App, then upload it through the portal!
Hi everyone I’m a freshman at Indiana Univ and I got a 3.925 my first sem. My high school stats are very low with a 3.2 and a 1240 on the SAT. I’m applying to the school of nursing. I’m taking a 5 hour credit anatomy class here and I currently have a C so that’s my hardest and lowest grade in a class currently, hoping I get my decision before the end of the sem because of that. I sent over my college transcript so far (midterm grades). Anyone else here applying transfer to their nursing school??
sorry I meant my mid-year grades. So far I haven’t received a request for midterm grades
I’m hoping that my essay and my grade trends throughout high school and now college help my application.
Hey, I applied somewhat last second and did not realize you needed a college report. Would NYU receive it in time if I sent it today? And also, how long does it take NYU to update the portal because it says they have not yet received my transcript?
If I remember correctly, if you sent in your common application before the deadline then you’re all good to send in additional documents. Just give them a few days, a lot of people are probably sending in additional documents as well.
@amazain They would receive it, it might just take a week or two for your portal to update. When did you send in your transcripts? It’ll take a few days or up to two weeks to update since they say receive so much mail from applicants. I can only imagine the high volume of last-minute materials they are receiving now.
I just checked my financial aid to see if anything had changed, and the year has been updated to 2020! I had no information before, but now it says “Aid Year 2020. Institution: New York University. Aid Year Description: Award access not available. (If the aid year is not activated, your award information has yet to be determined.)” I think this is a good sign! I did not apply for institutional aid, so I shouldn’t have any award anyways!
I’m applying to transfer to NYU into Studio Art (at steinhardt) and I’m incredibly nervous. This is my second time applying (first time applying as transfer) but it’s the only school I applied to for transfer. Hopefully something good comes from it?
My stats:
Current school: Parsons School of Design
College GPA: 4.0
High School GPA: 3.89
Test scores: I just submitted 3 AP tests, all were scoring a 5.
My portfolio I think is strong and I uploaded a resume too for artistic achievements. I don’t know what to feel but if you’re in the same shoes as me (Tisch or steinhardt) hope we have best of luck with lit portfolios.
Also was waiting for this new thread to star up. Idk how many times I’ve read the previous years
what is the college report? how do we do it and is it necessary
@nervygirl1 The college report certified you are enrolled and in good standing at your current university. It’s required! You can access it by downloading it from Common App, then you just need to take it to your registrar’s office and they will tell you how to proceed from there.
For those of you who read thru the the transfer threads from the last couple of years - when do people start finding out?
@Clementine7624 People started finding out today in 2017 and 2018!
@taylor99 yikes! Saw that Albert is going to be down tomorrow for maintanence
