I also received a survey type email for steinhardt last Wednesday and one for the school of profesional studies today. Tbh im not that intrested in going to the sps but idk why they sent emails for both schools.
Has anyone gotten anything from Tisch Drama lately?
So I got an email around 8 this morning (EST) telling me to log into Albert because my financial aid award info was available. So I logged in…and they had a whole page outlining the various scholarships and loans I received from Steinhardt. But next to the admissions decision, it still said that it was unavailable. Do you guys think this is some sort of glitch, or do you think I’m accepted but the Financial Aid department just updated before Admissions did?
I think if you have all that it means your in!
Got an email this afternoon saying I was admitted to Steinhardt and have a week to decide. So excited! Best of luck to all of you, hope to see you on campus this fall!

I’m still waiting to hear back from Tisch for Film and TV. This is torture. I got an email from Syracuse today telling me that they don’t have any more room to accept people off of their wait list. Ugh ugh ugh.
@webwaffle78 I feel you… I had to commit to a mediocre theatre school to hold a spot while waiting for Tisch and as time goes on I’m getting more and more worried. I just wish they would communicate with us more frequently…
Keep in mind that NYU waitlisted 15% of the applicant pool. They’ve offered admission to a little over 200 kids from the waitlist so far. That’s just 2% of the waitlist. For those who haven’t been admitted it might be time to mourn this dream. Then if you do get admitted later in the summer it will be a lovely surprise, but you won’t continue to stress all summer if it doesn’t happen. And you can always apply for transfer admission next year.
@claire09 Yes… But at the same time the 15% includes people who rejected the waitlist offer. So basically nobody has any idea how many are actually on the list. Gotta be hopeful.

Anyone else get contacted by Beau Benson? I got an email from him today asking, basically, if I’m still interested and telling me to contact him ASAP. I’m hoping it’s a good sign. I need to start applying for scholarships because NYU is expensive.
@webwaffle78 Chris Andersson just asked me to send a transcript to him a day ago so hopefully something good is coming our way!
I responded to the email and then he emailed back saying that he forwarded my application to the Dean of Admissions for a final review and that I should recieve an updated decision by next week! I’m so nervous. Especially because it will cost like close to $2000 to pay the deposits for NYU and cancel for UW.
