October 2011- Biology E/M

Thanks?

If I still have questions about the questions and we can’t directly talk about it, should I PM you Niceboat? I have some questions about the carrot set…

Sure if you still remember the questions.

How do you think the curve will be this year? Considering I skipped 4, how many can I get wrong to get a 750+

Im thinking 77/80 for 800

I just finished taking molecular Bio and it was sooooo easy… :)

E specific was pretty easy too.

If it was an easier test, does that mean there will be a harsher curve?

Not necessarily because we have differences in what we think is hard and it easy. It was easy for me cuz I’m in AP Bio and I just had a test on tht stuff plus I read half of a review book the day before.

Assuming that it really IS easier, which really can’t be assumed lol, but if it really really was easier, then technically speaking yes easier tests do have harsher curves. That’s the point of curves in the first place.

@salone4u, what did you get on your AP Bio exam?

hey, are there any questions you guys weren’t sure about? I think I got 4 wrong, 2 omit.

I omitted 4, how many can I get wrong to get at least 700?

@ciricket I just started Bio but we are learing the molecular part of it do it was fresh in my mind.

Sent from my SPH-M920 using CC App

@salone4u, Oh, I took it last year…

I think it’s fine to make a consolidated list.

Cells with Mitochondria- Eukaryotes
Cells with cytosol surrounded by a membrane- All organisms
Cells with ribosomes- All organism
Cells with chloroplast- Plants cells-This was a question right? Not sure
Lactic Acid- Fermentation
Which process creates Pyruvic acid- glycolysis
Chances of getting a daughter, after their 2nd daughter-50
Possible phenotype from a match with Aa and aa-2
Different gametes that can be formed with AaBb- 4
Generations needed to make 9:3:3:1 genotype ratio with AABB aabb parents-2
Cat running to kitchen when he heard something- Conditioning
Chances of male being colorblind from normal dad and carrier mom- 50%
What makes actin and myosin contract?- Atp?(need verification).
Which substance gives the greatest energy?- Fats
Which of the following do not provide animals with energy-Urea
Question about how many chromatids?- 16

That’s all I remember. I have bad memory =S. Added emirald.

what makes pyruvic acid? that was the one before lactic acid.

oh and also. what makes actin and myosin contract? i had to omit that one :c

I don’t remember the questioning about conditioning… was that E specific?

I guessed ATP on that one. Can anyone verify?

It might have been. I was trying to get all the Core questions, but maybe It was E.

What was the question that involved Urea as an option? Amino acid was an option too. Had something to do with energy?

Glycolysis

yeah that was conditioning. it was in the beginning of the test.

there was also one about how many chromatids in prophase I somewhere between #5-10

i put glycolysis. woohoo
for the one where urea was an option, i put that.
