Do I have a chance with a 219 in VA… So close :/

240 in California here

219 in Texas! I am so nervous. 219 was Texas’s highest score (2 years ago). Last year was 216. I hope I make it. i really am borderline.

199 on PSAT

2350 on Real SAT

**** the PSAT man haha

lol 192… I feel so inferior XD

Lol, tell me about it. 186 on PSAT junior year (this year) and a 2100 on the SAT sophomore year (last year). SMDH. The PSAT is a joke.

214 babbbbyyyyy (;

Hey. Do you think its possible for any state to drop a 8-10 point drop?

Wait, sorry just looking at this thread…but if your score report says you’re in the 99th percentile, does that mean for your state (I think it said “national”)? If you’re in the 99th percentile is it guaranteed (likely?) you have a semi-finalist standing in your state? I have a 215 in VT, and I was in the 99th percentile, I just don’t know about the state yet. I’m really hoping I make the cutoff. I wish I had prepared for this test so I could’ve gotten my score just a little bit higher so I wouldn’t have all this stress…

^ 215 in VT is right on the bubble…

214 was good last year, 217 was cutoff the year before… You’ll know for sure in late Aug/early Sept… Good luck!

My son got 217 from California.
My company gives scholarships through Collage board national merit scholarship program.
It looks like California cut off is ~221
Would he be eligible to apply through NMSQT for my company scholarship though he doesn’t have 221?

I guess that depends on whether your company awards them to commended scholars or not.

If we qualified for the NMS, what happens next?

You don’t technically know until late August or so, which is when the process continues. Wait. Wait some more.

So… do high PSAT scores help in any way except for National Merit?

Does anyone have a sense for where the cutoffs will be compared to the last few years? 215 in NH.

^We won’t be able to know for a while, but NH has wavered between 211-216 for the past six, seven years. Check out this link:

Thanks - that is easier read than the one I had seen. i was wondering if anyone had noticed trends of scores yet - trending higher might result in higher cutoffs …

233 here in California. I got the three wrong in CR on the SAT and the PSAT. (73 CR)

The list on Collegeboard titled “Scholarships and Recognition” is comprehensive, right? There are no other scholarships that are associated with the PSAT?

240 in Georgia :D. though I missed 1 in CR so it doesn’t really count heh.
