October 2012 SAT Discussion

Was that grid-in question that had the answer 4/5 in the math… it went something like this (a x (10^6)) + (b x (10^5))= 4.5 x (10^6)

on the real or experimental? Someone please tell me, I am dying to know.

@phoenix101, I did, the ice cream chart wasn’t on mine. I think that was experimental.

@Divy1234 They were “placed there”? By who, God? It took pains to explain to you that the dinosaurs were there because of their physically-incapacitating LARGE NECKS that weighed them down.

that was real.

@new york that was real. a+b was six.

And yes, I had writing exp., no ice cream on the real test

That reading was hard man…

No. He said that years ago they were mired in swamps. That’s completely different to speak of their physical issues. I think it is one of those that will only be solved when the answers are out. Cause both definitely make sense.

For vocab,
wHat was the one about the group of people in the study yielding to others views or something…

It was “autonomous”

@Neuro I put learning to write predates creative writing classes

It was something like: if you have equation: (2 x (10^a)) + (3 x (10^b))= 20,300, find a+b.

@NeuroEngineer yeah I got defy…disparity too. elucidate imagination doesn’t make sense

1) I put stuck rather than muddied.
2) 33 for the highest perimeter.
3) 2:1 for the trail.

Which was the real writing section? Was it the one with the air conditioners?

For the real math grid-in did people get the answers: 44, 2, 4/5, 1600??? Thanks.
Someone please confirm if this is the real math grid-in.

what was the question about like… the oven and Farenheit thing? was the answer 320?

(edit: it was like, what is the temperature after 4 minutes )

I didn’t get autonomous for the vocab question with the human sampling. I put somewhere along the lines of the sample claiming to be maganimous but being self-centered later

@newyorkgirl123, that was the real grid in.

yeah it was 300 approx

the 20,300 answer was 6
@aimforthesky
the answer was 330

@NeuroEngineer there were like three different questions that asked similar things on that one, do you remember any answer choices?

Also, number 16 on the third reading passage about apes, I remember one of the choices was “readily willing to challenge preconceived notions” (didn’t pick that though) does anyone know what they put?

Wait the oven one was 300? I got like…130 after plugging it into the equation :(
