^ Well, I would say that BU’s communication school is more well known. I assume that’s the BU school you applied to. Good choice.

@Rain202 Thx! One of the reasons that i applied BU is its LA program. But i am an international student , so i don’t know which is better (BU or Miami) in the US. Now that i have made my decision , i will never be regret…

How about you? You choose to remain at your current college?

^ there’s a 90% chance I’ll remain at my current school. BU is not generous with financial aid at all.

so not generous…they only gave me half way ride. :(

half tuition? that is pretty generous imo

that1guyy, thanks! I’ll definitely do that… get a sense of each schools before deciding! Good luck guys

How did everyone do on financial aid (those that got accepted)?
I didn’t get any aid, so if I decide to go to BU, that’s a good 56k?!?
And everyone else waiting, good luck!

@that1guyy, i guess tuition is like 43K or something right? if that’s correct then they gave me 80%. but there’s still living costs (dorms or not), books, food. . . i still need as much mine as they gave me. I’m most probably not going to attend. :(

Well that’s unfortunate. Is anyone actually attending? It seems everyone is declining…makes me me doubt my decision as well. The USC hopefuls are going there no matter what aid they get. sigh

Sigh, everyone got their acceptance and i am still waiting for a decision.

Please decline it if u are not planning to go, it might help some desperate people like me.

@626transfer

I got 25K from BU and I’m 99% sure I am going there. Does ANYONE know if financial aid can review your packet again in hopes of more money?

I still haven’t heard from NU or GW which is pretty annoying/ very frustrating!

If I do attend BU I will be in the SMG. Does anyone have an opinion on the internships and such? I am 22 years old and I would really like to have had a few internships under my belt when I graduate college.

Dargor13: I’m still waiting too buddy!

Dargor13 . . . i really want to attend but i am not sure if i can afford it.

I do understand that, wish you all the best!

@Dargor13 and @dpayan7
I’m also playing the waitin’ game…and it looks like I’m losing

If they don’t reply by June 1st I will have to pay my enrollment deposit at another school I applied to :(

Anybody know if they have any deadlines to meet for us mere transfers?

For those of you still waiting I’m declining my admissions today. I will be attending Bentley University instead they’re giving me $43,000 in aid compared to BU $28,000. Hope my spot can go to someone else. Good luck.

denominator, I am waiting for Vanderbilt university decisions and I’m sure they would give me significantly more money than BU did ($34K), If they accept me.

I got a question tho, If you pay the deposit deadline, is it like binding that you MUST attend or you can change your mind and lose the deposit.

And is anybody else accepted to the School of Engineering? Looks like i’m the only one lol… now i see the reason why i’m accepted haha

I think you can pay deposit for more than one school since kids on waitlists have to do that anyway. You won’t get a refund though.

And I’m sure there are other kids who applied as a transfer for engineering but they just don’t use college confidential. This thread is just a small portion of their transfers.

Does anyone know if you can appeal the financial aid decision? I really don’t want to spend that much money and any aid would be better! Congrats to those that go in recently

@transferccgal I would honestly just get active within the school. I’m 20 and I got into SMG too!
