It is said that transfers are not easily fitting in the new environment. I am a little nervous about the new school, what if I can’t make any friends?

<p>Yeah u heard that too about how it takes time for generally all transfers to find a new niche in the new environment. And I pretty much decided to go to BU like 85%. Yeah we should connect more.</p>
<p>For sure. I already paid my deposit and made my email account and what not. I’m 99% sure I’m going to BU just waiting on USC though which will tell me their decision June 1st. </p>
<p>Everyone who is going for sure should exchange emails/phones/facebooks maybe if we don’t want to be friendless. There was a transfer facebook somewhere around here I can’t find.</p>
<p>Oh and since most of you seem to be international, you’re lucky your orientation is the one in august. I have to to go the one in July and spend a lot more money for plane tickets.</p>

I talked to someone in the admissions office a few days ago, and he said the reply date is usually related to how close you applied to the deadline. So someone like me who applied very close to the deadline, should hear back in June.

<p>Yeah best of luck guys! And am sure they don’t work don’t like letting the acceptances know early and rejects know last. Universities tend to go through transfer applications on a rolling basis going reviewing only a hand full at a time. So each applicant will have the same chances is admission regardless of which batch it is reviewed on. So those of you who are still waiting have as much chance of getting in as any of us when our application was reviewed.

<p>they have just updated my account again,
it is a little bit too late, but they now require me to send them my national exam results back in the days when I was in secondary school in Hong Kong. </p>
<p>I thought it is not required for transfer students, but now they ask me for that.
My application has been completed more than 1 month, I hope this is a good sign

<p>I applied the day it was due and I got in like May 16. I think some decision notices are random, but at other times they accept people early and wait for people to deny/accept on a rolling basis. Hope I helped and good luck!</p>

<p>that1guyy, yes, NYU! I thought I was going to BU as well… But for my future career, I realized that NYC will offer more internship, job opportunities, and possible networks. And some of my classes did not transfer to BU, as they did to NYU… so I balanced everything to make this decision!</p>
