OFFICIAL Brown 2009 Transfers Thread

Does anybody know if Brown ever accepts transfers to enroll in the fall? It seems that they like transfers to make the transition in the Spring and what with the very few “applied for Spring 2010”, while I certainly don’t mean to be pessimistic…

All this waiting is driving me nuts.

I definitely feel your pain, Fenton.

Well, I just checked my brown application status and since friday I’ve been moved to spring 2010 term. I have a feeling that’s where they put all the rejected applicants. This is very upsetting.

quite the contrary redsoxgirl, i think you may have been accepted for spring semester

Thanks xfer101. I hope you’re right!

yeah redsoxgirl, I can’t really see any good reason to think that spring means a rejection. We should know our decisions pretty soon…hopefully this next week

The Brown site said something about how they mainly accept kids for the Fall, not Spring.

I think it was 80 for fall, 40 for spring

I just called admissions and they said decisions will be available tomorrow online…

kasl24 are you sure? You mean on the Brown user login page?

How much of human life is lost in waiting…

Tomorrow? Online? That’d be sick.

5:00 PM tomorrow.

How do you know that!?

Just got off the phone with a nice girl from admissions. She said we shoud be notified by 5:00 PM tomorrow.

Best of luck everyone.

Oh, good source. Thank you, and good luck to you too!

yeah a lady told me the same, check online at 5:00pm.

where online do we check our decision?

do you guys think it is much harder to get in specifying, say economics as your desired major, as it is such a popular subject or does that not really affect your chances of admission? i put down a second choice major as well, but feel i should have put that as my first now…

Good luck to everyone in their application decisions!

I know that all of us are more than qualified for brown if we
1)Applied
and 2) Keep checking and keep the initiative.

Best of Luck!

And what is the link for the login, I found it yesterday, but the instructions from the email tell me to click on a non-existant link
