Yeah, I did too. My heart rate was insanely fast when I opened it. Which is probably dangerous, since I haven’t actually done any physical activity this year besides…crying about finals or something. Ahaha.

^same, when I saw that the email didn’t start with, “congratulations!”, I had a few palpitations but luckily it was just a reminder. I was so much less stressed out about college decisions in high school, this can’t be good for my health.

Lmao you guys. Personally I am numb now after rejected by cornell and dartmouth.

@lumberjack23: I’m sorry. -hug- Hopefully Monday will bring you some good news.

@FirstDayOfMyLife: Yeah, my father was the main propeller in my high school admissions, so I didn’t take my rejections as hard. There was also the fact that he sort of tampered with my application and uploaded the rough draft essay, so I didn’t feel as if the colleges were truly judging “me”. But now…the stress is almost overwhelming.

So I just won a pretty prestigious award. Because decisions come out so soon, would it be worth it to notify Brown about it? It seems pointless now and I don’t want to bother them, but I also imagine it would help me a lot.

I’m officially freaking out

It probably can’t hurt, but it probably won’t change your admissions decision. Maybe call in and ask if they’d still take it into account this late in admissions?

Thanks. I’ll probably do it, but if anyone else has insight on this, please let me know!

I didn’t receive an email but I saw what it said. Did other people not get that too?

And I know there’s no problem with my application or information as I’ve been in contact with the admission offices for a while.

I don’t think that they will care, Cranberry. I would imagine that the decision has been made.

Wait, what do you mean you didn’t get an email, but you saw what it said? Now I’m paranoid this was only sent out to future rejected students. Ha. Transfer decisions have transformed me into a conspiracy theorist.

@sakari I follow the #brownuniversity tag on tumblr (yes feel free to note my obsession haha) and a girl posted the email with the same kind of things people are saying here.

But no, I didn’t receive it

Yes I did. And it’s tone is not helping my nerves!! Lol

okay so did anyone else not get it? haha

What does the text of the email say?

the first part is the same message to transfers they have on our brown accounts about decisions being ready before mid-May and how they will be released.

the second paragraph says: “Brown’s transfer admission process is incredibly compettive, and there are far more candidates deserving of admission in our pool than we have room to admit. Regardless of what decision you ultimately receive from us, we appreciate having had the chance to meet you on paper and to consider your candidacy. We wish you good luck and good fortune in the future.”

@knight92 did you not receive it?

when did you guys get it? I just got it this afternoon so maybe it’s just a matter of time.

1:58pm. Probably they’re sending the email out in staggered bunches so as not to overload their systems.

wait… so getting those e-mail means that I got rejected??

That is so cruelllllllllllllll :(

I got this mail this afternoon…
