@AznDude525 The person on here that said Columbia told them they’d accept people off the waitlist today said they’d “call” but from everything I’ve heard they don’t call, they email. Wonder if they meant email or if they made it up. Usually someone posts on here immediately.

@Swillow1022 I called the admissions office on Wednesday afternoon and they said that they would be notifying people today but did not specify whether it would be through email or by phone. I didn’t get any email or call so far but let’s see
It seems unlikely that the admissions office itself would give out false information…maybe they’ll send out emails later today? But that also seems unlikely considering how it’s almost 7 pm in NYC… im so confused
I’m also hoping they let us know today but the whole situation is very confusing

I don’t think they gave out false info, but it wasn’t written in stone. Maybe, with the holiday, people were on vacation early and that impacted on the committee meeting, etc. Who knows. More waiting tho unfortunately.
It’s definetly possible they decided to hold off until next week, @Kmj21, but I have a feeling if they gave a specific date they already had selected the students to accept. I think it’s more likely they only accepted a few students and those students happen to not use CC.
Does anyone plan to reapply? (Assuming that they have already chosen those accepted)
Almost certainly the calls have gone out to a handful of kids. It is probably such a small fraction of waitlistees that none are on CC.
we should call the office after memorial day (so on tuesday) and ask if the second wave of waitlist decisions have been released yet!
