Ah well, if anyone would like to join, the group is on Facebook:

Columbia University Class of 2014 Hopefuls!

Nice to meet you all !
ED to SEAS - Applying for IEOR programs.
Part I submitted yesterday, School forms going out soon.
My drag is 610 CR.
Anyone know if students from India get interviews ?

ED hopeful, good luck guys!

wait, can we get an interview if we’ve submitted Part 1 but not Part 2? I was under the apparently incorrect impression that we had to submit both. Woops, I should get on this.

You get your interview based on Part 1, which you should submit ASAP. Part 2 can come later (anytime before the deadline)

BTW, who’s done with submitting everything here?

wait wait wait wait

I submitted Part 1 a while ago, how do I request an interview?

You don’t request it. If they have an interview in your area, your interviewer will contact you.

Hey. Aznrepp1205. I am also apply to CC. I just got an interview offer. Since you have done your interview. could you share your experience with me? what kind of questions they are asking? and any tips for the interview. thanks a lot. Wish you the best of luck to get in Columbia =]

TJleah, do a search in this Columbia forum. I found out too late (after my own interview) that the Columbia interviewers who are members on these threads give pretty solid advice with regards to the interview and how you can mentally ready yourself for it. In any case, bear in mind that interviews for US colleges in general are constructed in a manner that allows your personality and your abilities to show themselves, not quite your content knowledge or your achievements. So the most important thing is for you not to attempt to hide who you really are behind an air of formality.

hey everyone! i’m applying ED to Columbia. white girl from connecticut, but moved here when i was little from france… i submitted my part I yesterday (yeah i know, REALLY behind) but worked incessantly on part II yesterday, therefore i am basically finished… planning on tweaking it this week, and submitting by friday?

Hey guys! I’m an Afghan girl from New York and I handed in my application for Part I October 5th. I guess I should consider myself lucky, since I was requested for an interview a week after, despite how late that is. My interview is this sunday…ahhh, so nervous! Almost done with part II, and putting the final touches on my essay. My school sucks, and our transcripts come out this week, so I can’t send my application in anyways until the end of this week or beginning of next week. My rank will be really good, (probably val or sal), but my SATs will be my downfall (low 2000s).

But good luck to everyone! :D
