I guess we’ll know on Monday…
I was so positive they would be released on Thursday… aghh
@ikadiggit

I have a friend who goes to Evanston Township High School ( I live really close to NU) whose parents both work at Northwestern. Her mom says that they were not released earlier because “they had some issues”. I can’t elaborate any further, because that’s all she would give me.

Sorry if that doesn’t help, but just know they didn’t do it on purpose. I guess.

Lol, while I sit here with a 31 ACT, 4.02 weighted GPA, lacking extracurriculars… What I’m really hoping helps is my essays, recommendation letters, and the fact I was my school’s Badger Boy last year (there’s this thing in Wisconsin called Badger Boy’s State where the top guy in the junior class of each school goes to this week long “camp” at a UW campus).

I just continually tell myself that if 31-32 ACT is average for NU, I technically qualify as a student (regarding ACT scores at least) and hope that it won’t hurt me.

@catslovelizzie I had a feeling that something had happened. I couldn’t imagine that they would purposefully withhold the decisions from us. Thanks for your input (provided that it’s correct lol).

@Jamesesesess Hopefully the doubled admission rate for ED helps everyone like you and me. I’m also on the accept/reject border…

Don’t lose hope!
You guys are definitely qualified.
@jamesesesess @ikadiggit

Isn’t everyone on the accept/reject border for Northwestern? hah

lol yuuuuuuup
@catslovelizzie

@catslovelizzie Truer words have not been spoken on this day.

@RNS1995 HELLO. you are taking the exact path that I would love to take (bio and psych premed) can you just give me a quick description of how your classes are/difficulty/professors/amount of free time it would be so appreciated!!

I live very close to NU as well and I actually have had the pleasure of playing capture the flag in tech!! It’s so much fun. I have to say, living this close to campus kinda sucks because it’s right here but I might not get to attend. So close, yet so far haha

Also have many friends who go to NU so I’ve been to a good number of football games, school spirit is as good as any big 10 school. The combination of everything at NU is really found nowhere else.

^^Sensing a tr0ll…

tr0ll

@boobykits

Not this again…

people are so immature.

is there any possibility that they are gonna be released today?

@beraksay I would say no… Most likely Monday. But I mean there is always a possibility.

@gkfc13 absolutely! so freshman fall quarter you have to take a freshman seminar writing class (I loved mine) and most people take either gen chem or orgo as a premed. I am taking accelerated gen chem. most people don’t like the general classes in the big lectures but all the upper classmen say they get better the farther you go. gen chem isn’t fun but it’s really not as bad as everyone says. you don’t start the bio sequence until spring quarter of freshman year so I can’t say from any personal experience how those are. the psych department is fantastic! I had several friends take psych classes this quarter. I placed out of intro with AP but I’m taking a psych stats class next quarter. if you decide to come here you get access to CTECS, which have student reviews for every teacher and every course. they are EXTREMELY helpful for deciding what teachers/classes/distros to take. engineering students definitely have the biggest course loads fall quarter but we all find time especially on weekends for fun with friends, going into chicago, club sports, and other student groups (I’m on committees for MEDLIFE and dance marathon). and I definitely feel like I have time to do everything I want. hope this helps!

@bamboo17 I know a lot of people here who live extremely close and it doesn’t bother them. honestly you will appreciate having them close. I live 7.5 hrs away and that was tougher than I expected.

@RNS1995 haha no I wouldn’t mind living close if I got in! I mean right now it kinda sucks living close because if I don’t get in I’ll be sad because I’ll still be connected to it, you know?
