lol no, I have been waiting for that email for a while as well.
That took awhile!
Got a confirmation email from NU. Let the waiting begin…
Does anyone know how we find out our admission decision? Like, will it be over e-mail, regular mail…?
We should get an email on the 15th followed up by a snail mail delivery if we are accepted with instructions on how to set up a NetID and enrollment forms.
Does anyone know when interviews will be scheduled?
@londondad you need to ask the admissions office for an interview
@londondad I wouldn’t stress about it. the office personally told me interviews really are like last on the list of things they look at for admissions.
@londondad they had to be conducted before Nov. 1st if you applied ED.
hey everyone! I applied ED, but I’m only just finding out that self-reporting AP scores can be beneficial. does anyone know if NU puts a lot of weight on AP scores? should I send an email/call with my unofficial score report?
LOL just took SAT subject tests and definitely bombed at least one of them. Too bad they’re being automatically sent to NU; there goes any chance of my acceptance
@wheresmylobster
I emailed the guys in Evanston a couple weeks ago and they said that they would look at the scores and consider them a little bit but they won’t be significant factors in your admission decision so I wouldn’t worry about it too much if your SAT/ACT or SAT Subject Test Scores are on par
@RamenUniversity @CaliCash I’ve asked this before, but I’ve self-reported the AP scores. Do I need to actually send the AP score report?
@RamenUniversity same here… can we check the scores and send it to them or will that be too late?
The email stated that Northwestern had to be one of the recipient schools that automatically receives scores when results come out in order for the scores to be considered. So unfortunately, if you want your scores to be considered, you won’t be able to see them before you send it :,(
WAIT how important is it to send in AP scores?? I didn’t send those in yet although I did include them in my CommonApp section… do I have to send them through the collegeboard website?
Also this is kinda a pointless question, but when they do email will it say right away in the subject line whether we got in or not? Haha
nope. it will say something along the lines of “application status update”.
btw, someone answer the ap scores question. if we put it on the app, do we need to send in the scores?
AFAIK Northwestern only requires you to send the AP score report if you actually matriculate to them.
I don’t know if it was sent to everyone at the same time, but I just received an email confirming that my application was “complete” and “under review.”
yeah, so, some of us (like me) had materials mailed in, so we’ll probably require a longer time to get that email.
