Do you have a general practitioner? If so call their office and ask for some suggestions that’s where I got all of my information from bottle. I’ll look into it as well.

I’m more concerned with getting a calculus and chemistry that way I’ll be on the same tract I would be if I had stayed at my CC. I will be pretty ****ed if I don’t get a calc class though I can’t imagine how much of my precal/trig knowledge will deteriorate over the course of 7 months.

I do have a doctor that I usually go to but it is going to be more expensive there(my aunt works as a medical assistant there and she told me to go somewhere else). I just found out that my current CC actually offer all the shots that I need hehehe…

I think you will be able to get those classes. Don’t worry, you don’t need much of precalculus/trig to do well in calculus. You will learn a lot of new topics that require little knowledge from precalculus/trig. Just make sure that your algebra skills are decent. The trigonometry in calculus I is very minimal. I remember it was only brought up when I did derivatives and integrals.

I got my transcript evaluation from newark lol. I don’t know why since I chose NOT to enroll there. Nonetheless they accepted all of my courses with the exception of one unimportant math class lol.

Yeah, but make sure you check out your local health department they are usually the cheapest option out of everything else.

I know but I don’t want to be put at a disadvantage at all for any class plus I am already 2 semesters behind where I should be I’m planning on finishing everything in two- 2.5 years including all of the biology and chem and upper division stuff which means I’ll be taking a lot of classes back home over the summer. I just don’t want to get any more behind lol.

Scienceguy, you’ll be fine. I used to stress out like a b1tch and my brother kept telling me that us transfer students will be able to register for our classes.

Also, you will be living on campus right? How much are you paying for this?

Hah yeah I know and if it doesnt oh well lol.
To be honest I have no clue lol I’m estimating next semester will cost me around 15k. Another weird thing that happened to me is they changed my student loan amount. Now my student loan is the amount that they list on the financial award status under “other educational loans” so I still one dont know if I got any financial aid and two dont know why they changed the amount because I originally took it out for 20k just incase i didnt get in the dorms and could furnish a place.

Yeah I really want to get out of living with my parents too lol. My mother gave me an ultimatum. If I get a scholarship from rutgers, then she will be paying for a one bedroom apartment that I can share with my bro near rutgers. I hope I freakin get it… lol. I don’t ***in feel like driving 45 minutes to school.

Dude, you don’t need to rush. You are still young (20?) You got many years ahead of you to take those prereqs. You realize the average age of medical student is 24 right? not everyone is a freakin genius and finish college right at the age of 21 and then get accepted right away to med or other professional schools. I am telling you, your good. I used to freak out too( im ***in 21 already, will be 22 in feb) but there is NO point of doing so.

Anyway, have u ever visited rutgers? lol Ur from cali right?

Lucky you! my mom pretty much told me ill give you 300-500 a month the rest is on you. I’m preparing to take on so much debt though lol. I hope you do to I would hate driving from home to go to college sounds like such a buzzkill haha.

Yeah I know I’m still young I just wanna get all of this over with so I can get to the more advanced stuff! I did not know that! I think that will be around my age when I do end up trying to go. A year from now I will be exactly in your shoes no joke I’m 20 and literally a year behind you lol.

I havent been to Rutgers yet(*). My girlfriend lives in NY so I go out to visit her on occasion, well she actually came back recently. I tried but Penn Station was so *ing packed we couldnt get to it lol we got over it because we usually drank heavily the night before so we’d wake up super late. I’m trying to get a couple of my friends to go with me in December then fly from there to Montreal. Cali sucks tbh I dont know what all the hype is about suburbia sucks lol.

Dude you realize that most of the UC’s are ranked higher than Rutgers right? I don’t mean to tell you where to go but I would freaking take advantage of that plus the in-state tuition. I probably have told you this before but I would go to UCD, UCI, UCB than rutgers. Again this is up to you but just something to think about :)

God I can’t wait till this semester is over. Only one more freakin test in my classes WOHOO.

Yeah I know but they are also significantly harder than Rutgers lol. I’m still applying to UCD and UCSB. UCI is the most boring place on earth btw you would never ever want to go to there. The UC med schools are also significantly more impacted so I doesnt do me much justice to stay there. Plus I figure the sooner Im on the east coast the more connections I can make because my intended goal is to practice in NY as a doctor. Ive also heard some pretty bad things about UCD. I’m just trying to figure things out lol.

Same here holy crap this semester has been so hectic

i really hope this also applies to CS majors. i already e-mailed a SPN request to the professor for the closed class i need to take and he said that if there are physically any seats available, the SPNs will be distributed first-come first-serve basis. i can’t imagine how many students already requested before me.

I am not sure if that applies for cs majors but I would expect that u will be able to register for some of your core classes. I can guarantee however, that we will be stuck with at least 2 ****ty professor lol.

I’m a freshman transfer and I haven’t heard back, but that could be because I just sent my sat scores yesterday. dumb. idk if they’ll get them in time.

i have! im a freshman transfer and i didnt get accepted due to lack of credits. im looking to go for fall 2012 and i seriously hope to be accepted!!

Sarbear, how many college credits have you completed at the time of your application? what is your current college GPA? how many more in progress? What is your HS GPA and SAT scores?

I’m in my first semester of my freshman year, so I haven’t completed any college credits yet. At the end of this semester I will have 13, but I also have 21 credits because of AP scores. I don’t think I included that in my application though so there’s no way Rutgers would know that. I also don’t yet have a college GPA because I haven’t completed any classes. My high school GPA was a 93.6 unweighted on a 100 scale, weighted 100.8. I got 2220 on my SATs: 680 Reading, 790 Writing, 750 Math
