I wish I wuz gooder in math like u guys. At this rate I’ll get a 750
@ypmagic my understanding is for there to be an intersection, one surface or line must not only touch another, but also cross it to intersect it. Like it can’t just touch and turn away like a tangent line, it must be on the order of an X, or its tangential but not intersecting.
@Kylemcgrogan An intersection is a single point that two functions have in common.
@drakonus sorry man, Im not sure if you misstyped or not, but 4 missed and 2 omit is a 43
@Kylemcgrogan sigh just sigh, not sure if you get @ypmagic 's logic
hey guys, i need an honest opinion: as of right now, my raw score is a 43, basically the average (if curve is lenient) for an 800. the school i’m applying to legit needs to be an 800. should i cancel my score? or keep it and retake in oct?
also to scope all of you to “predict” the curve: how did you feel the test was? scale of 1-10 1 is easy, 10 is hardest. i think for me it was like a 6.5? what do the rest of you think?
@michelle426 Thought it was 2, but I messed up because that’s what I get for not studying at all whoops. And, I don’t know, I’m also in the same dilemma. I think I’ll just keep and retake, since I want to know how far I can get without actually studying.
@michelle426 depends on whether that school lets you use score choice. If yes keep, if no maybe not.
I thought it was like a 1. I dont wanna brag but im pretty good at math though (8 on this years aime I, but didnt make jmo cuz bad amc10 lol). I did take the official test from the book and thought it was a little bit easier if that helps.
@pillowspillows yeah this one was actually easier than some of the practice tests i’ve taken, but i personally would not go as far as to say it was the easiest i’ve ever encountered
If you know you have a 43, don’t cancel. Imagine how annoyed you’ll be if 43 is an 800.
Any ideas for best prep books?
wait so do colleges look at all scores for the same test or the highest only?
@marie122 It depends on be college. Some use score choice, some don’t. At the colleges that don’t use score choice you have to send all of your scores. They look at all of them but consider the highest two or three subject tests.
@MrAustere do taking subject tests when you don’t need them and getting a good score help your college admissions?
@marie122 Possibly. Technically you should take subject tests in subjects that you are good at and/or want to pursue in college.
@MrAustere do you know if UT Austin or A&M require subject tests? I cant find that information anywhere…
@MrAustere yep. I want to do chemical engineering so I took chem, math 2, and us history
@marie122 So depending on what college you go to they might consider all three, or just the highest two. Good luck!
Best prep books for Math II??!!
@MrAustere Barron’s SAT Subject Test, DR. Chung’s (if you’re in a high 650+ range)
