Here are some main interview questions I can think of that are typically asked. The majority of the interview usually consists of elaborating on past experiences and things in the application. However, given that this is an interview for the 7-year program, someone like. may be able to give you better insight since he went through a similar process.

  1. Why do you want to go to medical school?

  2. How much influence did your parents have in your decision to become a doctor? (I was asked this given my parents’ background in Pharmaceuticals so I assume your daughter may get this.)

  3. Why do you want to attend this program/school?

  4. What are some of your weaknesses? How do you deal with stress?

  5. Be prepared to answer any questions relating to Obamacare and how that might have an effect on doctors.

  6. What reservations do you have about joining the medical profession?

  7. How do you think the US should address the physician shortage problem?

  8. Where do you see yourself 5-10 years?

  9. What will you do if you do not get into medicine?

  10. PREPARE AROUND 2-3 QUESTIONS FOR THE INTERVIEWER.

Does anyone know when W&J/Temple interview notifications come out and when do they schedule interviews?

@svnya123 All students who submitted the Temple Supplement should have had W&J interview. All materials have been sent from W&J to Temple. They had lot more candidates than a normal year this time. W&J is not aware of the date in past they have interviewed 10 to 12 candidates on one date in March middle hopefully.

Any update on the NJMS interviews, we saw a lot of TCNJ interviews but so far haven’t seen many NJMS invitations (or rejects). Any clues?

my son got NJMS interview 1 week or so ago. I had posted it when he got it. I think saw few others too.
From last years threads, they do continue to send out as they review i.e. not all at same time so it is all waiting game.

Does anyone know if Union/AMC sends acceptances/rejections all at once or if they send them in batches.

@ymehkri AMC is on going batch process. But if you have applied for RPI AND Union, then AMC holds it until they decide the status for both. Otherwise as soon as the make a decision, they will send notification for both interview and rejection. So new news is good news, until you hear one way or other. GL.

@WaitingtoKnow Last year it was 2/17. So in the next week or so will come. UPitt also has Chancellor scholarship interview and they may try to align both BS/MD and Scholarship interviews (similar to UMiami). Y’day they sent rejection postal notification for Chancellor scholarship.
