***Official Tulane Class of 2016 Decisions***

Hey, futurenostalgia, did you get accepted under regular decision? or are you just now posting an early action acceptance? I ask because I’m surprised that they are already releasing regular decision notices.

It was early action, back in early November. I’m just new to college confidential

any rough stats for what you need to qualify for the 17k scholarship? could someone who received that please post his/her stats? thanks!

@livk128, I’ve been offered 17k. I have a 31 ACT/2090 SAT/3.7 GPA. I don’t have a great deal of EC’s though because my school doesn’t offer much. I know a girl who was also offered 17k. She has a 29 ACT and a 3.8, but she’s participated a lot in varsity sports and other extracurricular activities.

thanks butaneVeins! that’s an interesting observation. ugh, so frustrating though. it seems I’m riding on the line of the possibility of being offered some money but I can’t go if I don’t get it. my worst nightmare is having to take the ACTs again. is the smallest about of merit aid offered 17k? so it’s like 17k+ or nothing?

I believe 17k is their lowest, but there is also a Community Service one (due Jan15th). I had a 30 ACT but a lot of extracurriculars and got the 22k.

There was a $7500 scholarship last year, but I don’t know if they are offering that again. Otherwise it is $17,000; $22,000; $25,000 or $27,000 as far as automatic consideration scholarships are concerned. Then there are ones that require an additional app, such as the CSS just mentioned.

Decision: Accepted
