There is a site, but maybe its not reliable, that lists transfer acceptance rates for a bunch of top schools and lists UChicago at 14%. But then I saw somewhere else it was 4-5% like you and others say. Here’s the site I’m talking about.

Nope, no email account. I assume they only give you that once you’ve been accepted. Not sure when decisions will come out either. Within the next two weeks I assume.

I’m really nervous! This is my third time applying to this university! Every time, I have grown so much. I really hope that the “third time is the charm”!.

I don’t think the acceptance rate was actually 5%. While that number is definitely realistic, there is no way Chicago could have pulled a 94% yield (it says 48 were accepted and 45 enrolled) for its transfer students; something about that seems off.

I don’t know. I was a defer-reject student (I don’t know if they waitlist deferred students). I’m kind of hoping they’d dig out my old files and read my old recommendations. My new recommendations are probably not as strong because I didn’t get the chance to know professors very well. I think they’re good, but they’ll be more generic.

Decisions were released Monday, May 9th at around 2pm - 3pm EST. If the trend of decisions being released on second Monday of the month holds true decisions should be released on Monday, May 7th at around 2pm - 3pm EST.
