<p>We are here also. Flew in from California with no problems at all. I hope to meet some of you this week!</p>
<p>It’s the annual Ukrainian Debutante Ball and we were at the Hilton last year when it was being held (D’s VP grad school audition)- wall to wall kids and parents. Nightmare…</p>
<p>Son and dad arrived last night and went out to eat their first deep dish pizza. BAL!!!</p>

<p>D and I arrived an hour+ ago. Roads in OH were pretty icy this morning, but IN and IL pretty clear. Hopefully see folks soon and BAL to all. </p>
<p>Unfortunately son and husband are flying east to get home. We have a winter storm warning here until 9PM tomorrow with an expected 8-12 inches. I have a feeling I won’t see my guys tomorrow night! Good luck to all traveling tomorrow!!! </p>
<p>Yep, some flights are being cancelled out of here today. I’m not sure if it is the airport here in Chicago or the destination airport causing this. We don’t fly until tomorrow.</p>
<p>I haven’t received any cancellation notices so far. We leave at 8:30 tonight. There’s still a light snow.</p>
<p>Son and Dad are in the air, and on their way to Philadelphia to get their connecting flight to Portland. Their original flight out of Chicago was for 4:30, but was going to be delayed and they would miss their connection,which is the last flight to Portland. They managed to get seats on an earlier flight which lucky for them was delayed two hours so they had time to get to the gate.
GSOMTMom- I think you should be fine if your plane is coming in from anywhere but Boston, NYC or Newark.

I did hear that one school cancelled auditions so that they could leave for LA earlier. I don’t think it was fair to do that the kids who were in Chicago to audition, however.</p>
<p>Great you arrived home safely GSOMTMom! Son and Dad got home late last night. Won’t see son until after 8:00 because he has Jazz Ensemble rehearsal after theatre rehearsal today. Trying my best not to grill the kid for more information about Chicago.</p>
<p>LOL! Because Dads usually don’t get the level of detail that Moms crave! Grill away and beg for every detail so that you can feel like you were there!</p>
