Yup, getting a personally signed letter is a nice touch.

I still didn't get my credit eval sheet yet, still waiting on that...arghh..

At least you're not waiting on a decision. I'm waiting on all my decisions still... I'm going crazy, the uncertainty is so harsh.

-Eddie-

Exactly Eddie, I guess the anxiety for me is only worse as this is the only school I applied. I'm sort of regretting right now. But if I can get acccepted, everything would be worth it.

Does anyone know what size Brown's transfer acceptance envelopes are? I couldn't find any details in the archives.

Hang in there guys, I'm really pulling for all of you!

flipflop...you again, bro??!! :D I am still waiting on Brown, as well.

EPorrell22, if you don't mind, what exactly did the email send to you requesting course syllabus say? Also what did you include in it? Did you put down texts used or just the course description?

I've just received an email basically saying the same thing, but I sent them in with the rest of my application forms a month ago. The weird part is, it appears at this point, my application has not yet been reviewed as it says in the email "we have received your Fall 2005 transfer application in our office, and will be sending it on to our faculty for their review, as soon as we have all the necessary information." Now I'm totally lost. My app was received well before 15th of March, and yet it's not yet been sent for review? What the hell?

Why Is My Brown Decision Not Here Yet?! ;_;

and why won't CC let me use all-caps? grrr.

CNCL,

The message said that the College of Engineering had received my information and that it was being sent for faculty review. It then asked me to provide the syllabus for one of my courses (I had sent in brief course descriptions before). After I sent it, she emailed me again thanking me for the information and saying that she would add it to the application package. She also said I would have a decision in a "few weeks"

-Eddie-

I sure hope this gets done soon because I am going crazy with the weight... I just need to know that I'll be somewhere next fall.

Does Brown really submit decisions this soon? From the discussions last year it sounded like people didn't receive a decision until after the beginning of May.

Ok, I'm sending or faxing this tomorrow. How specific are the descriptions you sent?

I do not think Brown is going to have decisions anytime soon. When I called them a few days ago (maybe last Thursday?), they told me they were only "beginning" to look through them.

Hmm..all these conflicting reports...oh well. Whatever. When it comes, it comes.

I got into Brown! It is RUE though. When I called last week the person who answered also told me that the decisions were not going out for a couple of weeks. Good luck everyone!

I applied to RUE, as well. They were supposed to send out RUE/transfer decisions last week (postmarked last Friday April 15th). Oh well, I still haven't received anything.
Who Knows...how old are you/what did your transcripts look like (if you don't want to post them, send them to me in a PM)?

CNCL,

I had sent descriptions with my application originally. I emailed her my class syllabus in response to her request. My original descriptions were about a sentence or two, directly from the registrar or syllabi. They were more than enough for most of the classes, save for Computer Programming because I forgot to write what language it was and what kinds of projects were involved in the class. Other than that, a simple blurb about what the class is and what it's objectives are should suffice.

-Eddie-

omg omg omg ARE THE ENVELOPES THICK OR THIN?????

Which ones are you referring to?

If you are talking about Cornell. They can be both.

The acceptance packet will come in a large envelope.

A congratulatory letter will come in a regular thin envelop. The order which you will receive it, it's all up to the post office. I received the big first, then the small.

FOr those who applied to CALS, any change in the status? (i.e. disappearance of "the message")

hey kkl230 have you recieved your finaid package yet?
i still have to send in some forms.
