Thank you very much for the information. As time goes on I am starting to rethink everything!
Still no word from admissions. Applied mid August. Any idea when we will hear?
@jillyjill99, The Admissions Committee started reviewing applications in the last few weeks. They currently have about 4,000 applications from the summer to go through. Many of them are working overtime to ensure that they review applications as quickly as possible (while still giving everyone a thorough review). For this first big chunk of applications, it is taking just a little longer than the typical turn around time. That said, those who applied in the summer should hear by early October at the latest.
Best of luck!

@hailtopitt1787 what is typical turn around time that we should expect? Say I applied September 5, I know it’s going to be a bit, but when should I look for a decision? Thanks
@colle9e from what H2P posted above— sounds like they are swamped with applications and the timeline given is maybe October.
There are lots who applied in July and early August who are still waiting… So we are all in the same boat!
Normally they said it is about a month. But right now they have all applications that came in so far to go through.
@c011e9e, Typically, it takes us about 3-4 weeks to turn an application around. It will most likely take just a bit longer this time of year.

@hailtopitt1787 , sorry if this question is redundant, but, could you please let me know when do GAP for medicine invitations ( to apply) go out ? S received admitted mail and "admitted to honors college’ about 2 weeks back.
@malgun98, No need to apologize! I am happy to help.
Med GAP invites will go out by January. You can find the whole timeline on this page in our website: https://oafa.pitt.edu/explore/guaranteed-admissions-programs/medicine-gap/
Best of luck!

@hailtopitt1787 - I heard GAP invites go out by November 15th and applications need to be returned by December 15 and interview notifications out in January. Is that inaccurate?
