Princeton University Class of 2023 SCEA Applicants Thread

Oh shoot dang. Just realized (stupid me) that I can see how many times and for how long the Princeton peeps have been viewing my arts supplements via YouTube analytics. It’s pretty interesting/scary to see, to be honest.

Lmao y’all r gonna hate me for asking this but anyone wanna share their stats to make me feel worse about myself

I’ve been watching this thread for months now and I finally decided to sign up solely because you all are so good-spirited  Always happy to use humor to mask the fact that I’m FREAKING out inside!

Ladies and gentlemen, what you do not comprehend is that I am a shoe-in for Princeton University. This is due to one factor:

I do nothing. No extracurriculars, no sports, and not even any grades.

You see, to receive admission to Princeton, you must stand out amongst the pool of applicants. Well, in a pool full of ridiculously qualified applicants, I certainly do stand out, as I in no way get mixed up in the massive pool of extremely smart and enterprising students. I wish you all good luck, and I assure you I will be attending the Princeton for the 2019 fall semester. I hope to see you there.

has there ever been a case where a university like Princeton has accepted someone they waitlisted the year before given that in the meantime they haven’t won a Nobel or eradicated poverty or anything

On a serious note, does anyone want to share their stats? I’m curious as to how I compare to everyone else.

Has anyone received a request for first quarter grades this year yet? I know that in previous years the request has happened anywhere from one and a half weeks to a few days before the results were released. It seems like today might be the last day it could happen.

I’m so nervous to find out ? I have no clue how I stand compared to everyone else

@asdffdsa1234 I haven’t received anything. My counselor may have, but if so I haven’t been told about it.

Hey y’all, as quoted from a UPenn '23 ED applicant “I say we try to keep this thread relatively stats-free for the time being. There’s nothing we can change about our stats now, given that decisions come out a in few days.”

Agreed. good luck boys and girls

Does anyone know or have any idea when the '23 early acceptance rate will be announced, after decisions come out?

@popcorn454 Last year Princeton published an article with admissions statistics on the same day that decisions were released for SCEA.
Here it is: https://www.princeton.edu/news/2017/12/13/princeton-offers-early-action-admission-799-students-class-2022

Probably after decisions come out, I’m pretty sure last year it was 14.7%

So no one’s received any requests for first quarter grades? It seems to be strongly correlated with early acceptance.

what if your school is on a semester system?
