@rshrawg they all still do the request apparently, regardless of what system your school is on.
There is no proven positive correlation between getting the Q1 request and getting accepted. It can even be negative because it shows that they need to see your senior grades due to lacking grades in previous semesters.
Correlation does not imply causation. Read nothing into getting a request for Q1 grades. Read nothing into not getting a request for Q1 grades. Although I do think that getting a request for Q1 grades means you will probably not be rejected this round.
Haha my Q1 grades sucked I hope they didn’t request mine
Will your counselor tell you if you get a request or do we get the requests ourselves?
@rosief1011 Your counselor gets the request, and may or may not tell you (the counselors at my school let us know).
A lot of people try to see if the request for grades or extension of financial aid means anything. Honestly, I feel like with the grades thing that’s just Princeton needing more evidence for an acceptance/deferral rather than a straight up rejection, so probably a good thing if you get it, but not a bad sign if you don’t. Then for the financial aid, remember that they’re probably just being nice wholesome people who realize that kids can’t meet all the deadlines.
Just stand tall, don’t try to read into it too much, and know that all of us are gonna end up where we need to end up. We’re all qualified, it’s just gonna be a crapshoot in the end because they can’t take all of us. Just remember that if Princeton says no, some other school that’s just as good can very easily say yes. Stay strong guys.
I already cried a few times about my rejection/deferral-then-rejection. We’ll be okay. We’ll all be happy with where we end up
@LincolnsGF So you did get the request?
@asdffdsa1234 No lol, I have not gotten any requests. I just constantly go into my school’s College Center to check if my counselors got any requests from Princeton. They told me they would immediately email me if they got any such request.
I have not gotten a request either, but was actually told by my counselor that colleges would email the student to ask them for any information they need. great, something new to add on to my stress
I nearly died laughing from @refn100 's post (#243).
:)) :))
As a native from the Harvard SCEA 2023 forum, I must say that we need more of this lightheartedness since we are on out 96th page and 1,427th post.
Lots of love & good luck to you Princeton Hopefuls this Wednesday!!

Hi all, I am a SCEA applicant. Where should I look for Wednesday’s 7 pm results release? Email or Applicant Portal?
The #toilet
Princeton-worthy wit^^^
They will probably email you at the time, but you will find it on your applicant portal
@NyuLeg19 I believe they will send an email saying that your application status has been updated and that you can log into your account to view the decision.
Thanks to those who replied and good luck to others who are waiting for the decision too!
