lets hope UW thinks the same… I still haven’t received anything and I don’t know if I can wait a few more weeks before going crazy :(( but no I don’t have a back up school… I honestly got a little too confident when applying :-S and here I am a few months later totally freaking out!!! But if UW doesn’t work out then I was planning on applying to Seattle U for Spring quarter.
@wintransfer2016 Hey. I still didn’t receive anything from UW yet and when I contacted them this week, they told me they’re still reviewing applications till the 31st… so don’t lose hope!
@dawgcho93 the 31st of November right?? I called the admissions office too and they said I might not hear anything until the middle of December, which seems so long from now because I expected to have heard back before Thanksgiving, but it seems like they’re kind of just saying whatever to anyone who calls… everyone on this forum seems to have heard something different and its really frustrating

No. 31st of December. they told me that their notification period for Winter 2016 is November through December 31st. They said they are still sending out admission decision. I guess there’s one more batch getting sent out pretty soon.

@dawgcho93 That doesn’t make any sense when the quarter starts beginning of Jan. There’s no way they could decided on the 31st (a thursday and friday a holiday) and get a letter to someone in time. I think they just meant to say the notification period on the website is Nov-Dec and they were just reiterating this in different words to calm you.
@jadey138 American Ethnic Studies. You? Honestly, I hardly check it anymore. I’ve eliminated as many stressors in this process as possible. Transcript trick will drive you nuts because you have the ability to check too often. I’m simply checking the mail after I know it has came, therefore I can only do that once a day. Way less stressful.
@wintransfer2016 I so agree!! I was way too confident haha and I think they’re for sure just telling people stuff to calm them down on the phone so that way they don’t get too many calls a day of people freaking out.

@JP1993 I can’t refresh my transcript since I already have one so… I have nothing to go on except my mailbox! But sometimes I check the portal to see if I get the congratulations message haha. Nothing so far though
@dubsup I feel like the admissions team should at least agree on what to say to each type of question instead of scattering so many different answers haha. Maybe they should come up with a cheat sheet lol!
Is anyone else getting “Content not available at this time” on My UW? Also when I click unofficial transcript it says “Personal Services - Not Available”. Well at least it’s a change from the error page lol

Yeah I have this message on myUW: “Due to system maintenance, your class schedule is temporarily unavailable.” and my transcript is unavailable. It doesn’t mean anything. lol
@megandlr Yeah I had a similar experience at my CC. CC is pretty antisocial, and I’ve heard that UW can be too. If you’re living in the dorms you’ll probably make friends that way, as long as you put yourself out there!
I think all of us who have been admitted are nervous about starting at UW in some way… personally I’m worried about the difficulty of the classes, but not so much the social aspect. It’s pretty terrifying to be starting at a new school, especially a big, intimidating one like the UW

Thanks for the advice! Already finished my first essay and am working on my second one right now. My GPA is at a 3.2 hopefully will go up after this week (finals :/) and I have gotten really positive feedback from writing tutors at my school. Hopefully my extracurricular like Student Government, job shadowing and involvement in clubs and activities on campus can help me!
