(Also I’ve read in several places that to get your SI you add up your individual scores like the 36 math 35 reading and 37 writing and double it- anyone know if this is true?)
Also does anyone think I’ll make the cutoff for Florida NMSF?
@samgallahan You are correct on how to calculate the SI. I think you have a great chance to be a NMSF in Florida!
I think part of the %ile confusion of students’ reporting on this site is that they are most likely not all jrs. Sophomore/freshman percentiles are going to be higher for lower scores bc they are being compared to their own grade level expectations.
@Mom2aphysicsgeek I have removed a couple of sophomore percentiles from my chart. I actually started to put my daughter’s scores in until I thought about it. And it’s not intuitive to put in the “user” percentile, especially since I originally asked for the number right next to the score, which is the general population number.

@theshadow Nope, just read another post giving directions to an online percentile we had missed. You are right.
I’ll edit, darn it.
@jerzmaster @EarlVanDorn D’s SI was 217. Scores and percentiles were submitted in error, please see below.

M 36.5 99 98
Sorry for the confusion and thanks for the catch @theshadow Sadly, no NF here.

Did not get the TASP email and did not take the PSAT as a sophomore.
@aron I think that your daughter’s scores are exceptional and should be in the NMSF range. I’m naturally an optimist, but based on the information I have seen I think 217 SI will be NMSF in many states.

I don’t know how I missed it but in on-line, but they did provide 3 subject percentiles.
FWIW, here is our data.
Reading 32 93/92 Sample/User
Writing 33 98/96
Math 37.5 99/99
SI 205 No percentile
That’s odd. My junior daughter got a 35 in reading and 99%. Many others have reported the same.
So many posts on this subject. I am calling your attention to http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/discussion/comment/19165844/#Comment_19165844 which says that college board released the national percentile of SI scores to GCs and a 2015 SI of 207 is in the 99th percentile. That may not be the lowest 99 percentile score.
@mathyone Thank you. That is what we have been looking for.
@jerzmaster Thanks, I usually am as well. But we’ve been down this road with D1 and simply want to be realistic. If Testmasters’ guesstimate turns out to be a point high, we’ll celebrate.
If we take it from “Percentile” data @gasenioryear, SI 99% is around 207.
Then, Concordance table estimates too low and Testmasters’ estimate is too high.
It is consistent with what we were finding; across-board-99% is around 210, thus actuall 99% would be slightly lower.
BTW, was 207 “sample” or “user” 99 %ile? no one will ever know, but at higher % range, they should be off only by 1-2.
@payn4ward et al thanks for posting how to get section percentiles!!!
