I live in Arizona and my mail came. Nothing was there. I am assuming that I will recieve a package in the next couple of hours or that people in the latter half of the alphebet did not have their packages/letters shipped out until Saturday which would mean we would recieve it tomorrow.
USPS came, so I am assuming FedEx has not yet.
I am in Nebraska and received nothing. Assuming tomorrow. I called Reed Admissions and they said they would be very surprised if it did not come in the next day or two.
Box received around noon PST in Sunny Southern California. Classy box as well. It is one of three on the top of DS’s list right now. Will visit and make a final decision next week.
just got my box!! i also live in norcal (san jose) and received the package before 3 p.m.
stats: 3.63 UW/3.9-ish W (pretty crap GPA i know), 2300 superscore. wrote about taiwanese history/culture and why it’s important to me
rejected at UCSD, UCLA, UCB, wellesley, scripps, smith (which i was mildly surprised/sad about but my supplement wasn’t good so eh); waitlisted at emory and UCI (HAHA that’s chill though irvine’s a little too much like san jose anyway); accepted at SJSU, UCD, UCSB, UW, oxy. basically…reed is the only private i got accepted to that i’d actually want to attend HAHA
but yeah this is a pretty big surprise!! saw people saying they’d gotten letters already so i went out to check and i didn’t see a letter so i figured maybe??? i got the box??? didn’t really think i’d see it there but uh i guess i did. now it’s down to reed/davis/santa barbara (didn’t get anything special at either uc :c), though i’m pretty sure i won’t get enough financial aid from reed to realistically attend.
Received my box sometime between 3:30pm and 5pm in Miami, FL. 3.45 UW, 4.5 W, 31 ACT, wrote about a privilege walk for common app, and about ceramics for paideia, also had a great interview with regional admissions staff that was supposed to be 30 minutes and ended up lasting about an hour. Reed is in my top three, but it happens to be on the other corner of the US which my mother does not appreciate.
also accepted to university of Alabama, New College of Florida, Ursinus College, Clark U., Gettysburg, F&M, Mount Holyoke, Bryn Mawr; waitlisted at Smith and American; rejected from Barnard
So excited to be accepted! I’m going to have a really hard time deciding between Reed and Princeton
@sonya97 My son applied to Harvard and Stanford but made it clear after he applied that he would choose Reed over them…of course I asked why he didn’t tell me BEFORE I paid the app fees!!!
@bmsssss I’m also in Arizona and got my waitlist letter from USPS today
Northern California and my son got a waitlist letter today via USPS.
Waitlisted -_- I’m not sure whether or not to accept a spot on the waitlist. I was already accepted: Bryn Mawr, American University, Mount Holyoke, Hampshire, UMASS, Sarah Lawrence, Ithaca, Clark, and Skidmore. Waitlisted at Scripps and Oberlin. Rejected at Middlebury and Smith (I applied ed to smith and my application wasn’t very good at the time).
Stats:
GPA: 3.3 (uw) my school doesn’t weight GPA
SAT: 1970
@BlackMagic81 My last name starts with an S and I heard that they sent out the lower letters on Saturday.
@bmsssss mine is A and I’m not sure but might be true
Guyyyssss… Reed, University of Washington honors., UCSB honors, and Davis. #help xD
has anyone in the mid-atlantic heard anything yet? anxiously awaiting here in MD as Reed is my top choice
Any supporting evidence for alphabet theory? In the middle here in northeast and no news yet.
If you don’t want to wait for your mail to arrive you can check the fedex website. You will have to make an account. The reference code it adaccept
Thought that didn’t work unless you registered before they shipped. (We didn’t.)
I registered yesterday and it worked for me.
