From everything I read looks like she got 28000 a year 26000 includes 2000 scholors award plus additional 2000 for department - was confused she got scholars and not honors - but great too - first letter was scholorship day after notification of admittance - scholors letter came yesterday awarding 2000 which I believe is included in 26000 plus 2000 department award if that makes sense

Daughter OOS received $10k per year…30 ACT, 3.91 GPA which is in the range of merit awards chart. Got more merit aid from Ohio State though.

Hi, to fill in missing GPA- in state 33 ACT, 2170 SAT, NM Commended, GPA 4.2(W), $10,000 , no word on Honors or UASP

Did anyone else have the Stamps Scholarship info in their letter from UASP? Just wondering how that works. Was it in the letter from UASP that stated the $2000 scholarship? My son insists that the $2000 is already reflected in the initial scholarship offer.

I think the 2000 is reflected in original but the department ones are not

When and how do you hear about Department scholarships. We are very satisfied with the scholarship offer but just want to make sure we fully understand the numbers

@pandabear68 My son received a separate letter regarding the departmental and UASP scholarships about 5 days after the university scholarship letter.

Thanks! We received the UASP letter yesterday - no mention of Departmental Award. It is strange how this all works!

Thinking about it more @pandabear68, he didn’t actually receive a separate UASP letter containing scholarship info. The second letter was from CEHS stating they were matching the UASP scholarship. If the CEHS letter hadn’t mentioned the UASP scholarship, we probably wouldn’t have known about it until March when they send out the entire financial package.

33 ACT (34 superscore), Honors, 19k/year OoS

@jumbletumbles I’m the 26k/2100/3.4 UW- turns out part of my scholarship is departmental too!

Congrats to everyone! Out of curiosity, for those who received departmental awards, was it in a letter sent via a regular sized envelope or was it in a big envelope with other things inside (brochure, promo stuff, etc)?
Our mail is somewhat unreliable and it’d be great to know what type of mail to be on the lookout for or not. We’ve only received the initial FA prelim award letter & a Scholars letter. If departmental awards are listed with the official Scholars letter, it’d be another piece of the puzzle for us to figure out what our breakdown is. Am I making sense??? Lol

ETA- we are very grateful & happy with my son’s award package so no complaints on that at all! It’s just a little confusing & frustrating not knowing how much is for what!

If anyone who has received a scholarship hasn’t posted their amount yet because of confidentiality concerns, please feel free to private message me with the info & I will anonymously add it to the list so the info won’t be connected to your username. Just an offer
I know this type of information was very helpful for us as we started our process & paying it forward might help next year’s applicant class just as much.

Daughter received 15,000 OOS. 3.98UW,(school doesn’t weight), 32 ACT. No mention of honors or UASP. Honestly, I was a little disappointed. Loved Miami, the campus and size. She was really interested in UASP. Was hoping for something a bit higher. She was also accepted to Umich instate which is obviously a great school and financially makes more sense now. Congrats to all of you!

I have a 32 act and 3.8 GPA. Ranked 170/500 in my class. OOS. Got 22,000 a year and Honors. Haven’t heard about departmental… is that separate?

34 ACT, 4.23 weighted GPA, summer scholars participant… 19,000 a year with University Honors Program

Did anyone else not receive it yet? Is there a way to see the offer online?

We heard back today that this year’s applicant pool is the strongest academically they’ve ever had. Might account for some of the disappointment in scholarship offers.

I’m very confused about UASP and Honors? My understanding was that UASP was more prestigious and more competitive, so I find it strange that I was accepted to that but not Honors? I’m not being conceited at all, (I’m actually surprised that I got UASP at all…but I was also surprised to not see Honors when I did get UASP). Does anyone have any ideas/clarification? Is anyone else in the same situation…?

I’ll also post my stats, just in case it helps anyone else! Good luck, friends!

In State: 14K per year
Offered UASP (2K, but idk if that is additional or already rolled into the 14K?) but not Honors :frowning:
SAT: 2170, 2250 combined
GPA: 3.7ish UW (hard prep school? idk if they care about that…)

I hope this helps other people for comparison purposes, etc. And congratulations to everyone on your acceptances and scholarships!
