Scholarship Notification

If we qualified for a scholarship, such as the University Scholarship or the 21st Century Scholarship, when will they notify us? Did they notify such students in their admissions packet that was sent in the mail? I hope not because I didn't get anything about it...

I'm curious about this too. I had a scholarship appear today in the admissions portal and was wondering how legit it is? I don't want to get my parents hopes up for nothing.

In November 2005, the scholarship information letter came 21 days after admission.

The scholarship information shows up in the financial aid toolkit in Bb.

If you receive a scholarship letter, make sure to accept it online.
You have to maintain a 3.0 GPA and must take 28 credits in the Fall/Spring semesters to keep it.

what are the rough estimates for what it takes to acquire a scholarship from the university?

friends of mine got academic-based scholarships with 1260's and 4.5 GPA; I a 1270 and a 4.5 and wondering since there is nothing on bb if im SOL.

?

Thanks for you help!

It's real.

I checked my "status check" page yesterday and saw that I'd been offered the "Freshman University Scholarship." I told the University that I would accept it and then received an e-mail telling me that they had received my decision (obviously, I clicked "yes" ;-D ).

My mother called admissions, and they said that scholarship information would come via snail-mail in about 2 weeks.

Hope this helps!

Congratulations WRITE ON!
With the Bright Futures and University Scholarship you are in a great financial position!
Remember to maintain your focus to receive the necessary GPA and credits to renew the money each year.

that's awesome!

Congrats! ..... Write on

I also got the Freshman University Scholarship! I put it on reserve, though.

Congrats kaitlinc3!

That is super!

I was looking everywhere to see if I was offered any scholarships and after I realized how dumb I am, i stumbled across the status page with my new FSUID.

Freshman University Scholarship :)

I put it on reserve until I hear from UF

Anybody have any idea what the requirements for this scholarship are?

Congrats vincanity1!

That's awesome!

VINCANITY1 - do you mean how did you get it or how do you keep it?

You got it because you are among the top applicants and you applied early.

You keep it by maintaining a 3.0 GPA and taking a minimum of 12 credits per semester and 28 total credits or more in the Fall and Spring semesters.

Thank you for the verification Write On! I did the same with the University Scholarship. What a pleasant surprise!

FANTASTIC! So happy for all of you scholarship recipients.

So if haven't been notified via status check does that means I'm not going to be offered one?

otay57

Admissions stated to me on Thursday they were in the process of reviewing app stats and would be sending out letters in about 2 weeks for scholarships.
I would think there is still a chance you will here something.

In the mean time if you call Admissions, they can tell you over the phone if your grades and test scores put you in range for scholarship consideration.

We don't know for sure but it seems the University Scholarship recipients on this thread all had over 1350 SAT scores and high GPA scores. Perhaps they are still evaluating the 21st Century scholarship recipients.

It can't hurt to contact admissions and ask about your status.

Being awarded the University Scholarship is impressive. Nice job.

Where do you find if you received a scholarship? I can't see anything.. do you have to have to pay $200 deposit fee to be consider? Because I haven't paid it yet..

No they did not pay the admission deposit yet. I think they did a status check with their fsuid.
