should we expect letters in the mail this week!?

I feel like the jeopardy theme song has been going through my head this whole last month while waiting to find out… ah

WASHU sucks.

just sayen.

I feel like we’re running out of weeks here, sc… I’ve only been waiting since november!
I wish it was just rolling, but then again, then it wouldn’t be sc. (:

whats the logic behind not putting the decisions up online? anyone know?

Yo on the Wash U thing, I’m pretty sure they pulled a university of Chicago in the sense that they wanted to bump up their applications. They sent me literally a piece of mail every day for months and I do not have very remarkable stats. And not just postcards but full on 2 dollar postage packets containing applications and the works. So do not feel bad if you got wait listed or anything because 1. its a mad good school and 2. ive got a hunch their applicant numbers went up substantially this year… Just a thought though.

^thisismyhandle, I’m not exactly sure, but from what I’ve heard, USC’s acceptance letter is like beautiful. It comes with a certificate I think and a folder? But I guess it’s that feeling of greatness, that trojan feeling that USC wants us to have instead of just seeing the word “accepted” online. just a guess.

Oh yeah, the packet is awesome. It’s this red packet with a big USC seal on the front with “Welcome to the Trojan Family” right under it, and this awesome certificate on the left once you open it. Great packaging.

sounds great. but a logistical disaster. international applicants would not get the packet until the last week of april, by then we would be forced to pick another school and pay the deposit…

thisismyhandle: according to USC policy you can call admissions to ask for the decision of your admission starting around april 7 (can’t remember the exact date) so that solves the whole international delayed mail problem.

“whats the logic behind not putting the decisions up online? anyone know?”

decisions will be up, unless it’s a rejection.

it clearly says… decisions will be sent only by post…am i missing something here?

Before the status changed to forwarded it said the following:

“Your application is being reviewed by the admission committee. We will mail notification of their decision by April 1. If for some reason you don’t receive our written notice, we will be happy to provide the results over the phone beginning April 11th.”

Meaning anyone who hasn’t received a letter by April 11th can check whether or not they have been accepted by calling.

i feel like everyone’s says forwarded except for mine…

jackdaniels, I am still being reviewed. I have never been forwarded.

at least you’re being reviewed. I have the one that says I will hear before April 1 and my midyear grades have been submitted. < that one just sounds bad

I’m still fall grades also. In fact, all of the SCA applicants are at fall grades too. Don’t worry.

It honestly seems like everyone has forwarded! And from what I’m hearing, that is the better status to have.

I think they probably saw my fall grades and just rejected me right there. It was the weakest part of my application

I’m a SCA applicant and my status changed to “reviewed” just today, so don’t worry.

Does this mean I’m in?
