Has anyone gotten any clues from admissions counselors in terms of decision release dates?
All I know is that people with more than 30 credit hours are supposed to get decisions as early as mid-November but no later than when admissions goes on holiday vacation on the 22nd of December. However, if you have less than 30 credit hours until the end of this semester, then you could be waiting for a decision as late as the first day of class.
Also that’s awesome @janeeyreisbae ! J’aime quand je connais une autre francophile
Hi all,
Been following this thread for awhile. Got accepted to Math CNS yesterday so the decisions are coming out.
GPA was 3.9 and had all calculus and science courses completed. Transferred from ACC.
Good luck
congrats @acturialstudent!
Was it snail mail or a status update online?
@acturialstudent Congratulations! I hope that the rest of us can join you!
Congratulations, @acturialstudent! Hopefully that bodes well for the rest of us.
My application isn’t even in review yet (sigh). Is anyone else in the same boat? Does anyone know if that hurts my chances of finding out this month?
@acturialstudent Congratulations!!! First acceptance on this thread! Hopefully this is a sign that more decisions will be rolling out soon!
Ivanovich -:when you say your status isn’t “in review”, what does it say? Mine as well as most people I’ve seen on this post say “in review” at top of page, and “on time” to the right center of page.
@GuerreroLonghorn
It says “Complete/On Time” on the side. It says “in review” on top, but from what I can tell, that’s only because it’s after the application deadline.
@ivanovich That’s normal. It should say Complete/On Time until you receive your admissions decision. All of our applications are in review at the moment.
@johnnylawson Ooooh. I always thought the side tab would change to “in review” at some point. I think I was just misinterpretting what other people were saying. Thanks for the information.
Congrats to those who recently got accepted as transfer students! I was a transfer student myself and the next tough thing is finding housing mid-year like this. If you are interested in a sublease let me know and maybe I can help you out!!
Hey guys
I’ve been following this thread for awhile now.
I got accepted as a Biochem major yesterday.(well I checked mystatus yesterday, not quite sure when they posted the decision)
I’m a transfer from hcc but I’m currently enrolled at uh for fall 2015. (Junior year)
My next step is looking for an apartment. Really excited to be living in Austin my senior year . Anyone have suggestions on where would be the best place to live with walking distance to UT?
And good luck to everyone whose still waiting for decisions!.
Those looking for apartments…join the FB site UT Austin Sublets/Roommate Finder. I promise there is no shortage. Some folks are even ready to make a deal to get things subleased.
@mnist101 @acturialstudent Congrats y’all!!
It looks like CNS is releasing decisions before COLA this year.
@mnist101 would you mind sharing your stats with us?
I called Admissions who confirmed a few decisions are out now. She said intentions are to get all decisiions out for students who already have 30 hrs by first week of Dec. The goal is to get everyone else out by the holiday break. So we have to continue blowing up the My Status page. I want to hold out for UT but at same time i have to be prepared to register at one of the other universities that already accepted me. Just give us an answer soon please!
I also called admissions and they said that there will be some more decisions released this week. However, the majority of decisions will be released at the end of the month (for students with 30+ hours).
Has anyone else besides CNS transfer admits receive a notification??
I applied for Spring 2016 for COLA History
I won’t have the thirty hours complete until after the Fall semester.
GPA-After the semester I should have anywhere from a 3.3-3.5 (I know it’s low but I wrote a special circumstance essay saying how I had to get a full time overnight job to help my parents pay for tuition and that’s why I wasn’t able to devote so much time to school)
-I wrote three essay and had them proof read by numerous professors. SOP focused on my plans on becoming a history teacher and how volunteering in a classroom helped solidify my decision on wanting to become a teacher
-Decent EC’s from HS, volunteer as a debate coach at a local middle school on top of my full time job at a grocery store
Do you guys think I have a chance?
