@abdkid21 You have a chance, but to be honest it isn’t a great one.
History isn’t a very competitive major, so that helps. And I’m sure they’ll take your special circumstances into account. I wouldn’t count yourself out of the race yet - you definitely have a shot. I would just have a back-up plan.
@johnnylawson
My gpa at the time of transfer was 3.54
I transferred 60 credits.( thats what it says on the page, however im not quite sure how many credits will be applied towards my degree)
I had two letters of recommendation- one from my organic chem professor and the other from my manager
( pharmacist)
I currently work as a pharm tech at CVS and volunteer at a school for autistic kids. I also volunteered at atrium medical center earlier this year.
And back in my country (bangladesh) I taught elementary school science and geography after I graduated high school for 6 months.
Hope I answered your question well?. If not ,please feel free to ask!
@mnist101 , Thank you, that should be very helpful for all who are weighing their chances. Anyone find any good news on MyStatus today?
@johnnylawson no news for me yet, I’m going crazy checking my status all the time!!!
No news here for a COLA transfer with 30+ credit hours.

Hey guys, I’m messaging now to inform you that I just got accepted!! Here are my stats:
I applied to COLA with a 3.9 GPA with 72 credit hours completed.
I had two rec letters, one from one of my professors, and another from my general manager at work.

Just got accepted to COLA as International Relations & global studies major to transfer this spring!!!
30 hrs completed from DCCCD
3.8 GPA
One of the best days of my life for sure. Good luck to everyone.
I got accepted!
49 transfer hours (5 of my credit hours didn’t transfer) with a 3.9 GPA. A few extracurriculars and one letter of recommendation (from my writing professor).
Good luck to everyone else! UT will keep handing out decisions in waves pretty much until the semester starts.
Oh, and I’m in COLA as an English major.
@johnnylawson @kayp18 @ivanovich congratulations!!! You all must feel great!! Hope that the rest of us can join you soon!!
now I am afraid to be rejected, I am 3.87 with 45 hrs for CNS undeclared with all cal and science Aces.
@leonXiao I wouldn’t worry about it. UT is notoriously slow with their decisions. Plus, you have really good stats.
Thanks! And congrat to ur acceptance
I’M GOING TO TEXAS!!!
COLA Govt major
3.67 GPA
60 credits, Lone Star College Kingwwod
2 LOR, courtroom internship plus music student teaching to middle school kids.
Congrats to all! WE DID IT!
@leonXiao - I’m thinking you might see a delay because your major is “undeclared”. What is your second choice?
Hey guys! Just wanted to say I got my decision today for COLA Undeclared, my first choice. 50 hours 3.9 GPA but I had auto admission. Good luck to everybody!
First of all, congrats to all that have been accepted!!
Here’s my situation. I applied by the deadline but my application was cancelled bc I was missing one transcript. I opened an appeal after all transcripts were received. On my appeal, it says they will review my application on 11/17…today!!
What I’m worried about, is that while I’m wanting to transfer spring 2016, I don’t know what to even make of my chances I’ll get accepted. I’m an older student…meaning I could probably be your mother. I am an AF veteran and looking at their fresh start program. My time in the service and hardships at home had impacted my GPA. However, I do have an AS.
I’m applying for transfer into the College of Education with a major in kinesiology.
Does anyone have any insight about the chances of a student being accepted from an appeal?
Also, if I was accepted to Concordia, would that mean I’m competitive enough for UT? Or does Concordia accept everyone?
Still haven’t heard either. Applying to College of Education for Kinesiology
Just got accepted today! COLA psychology major with 3.9 GPA and over 30 transfer units!!! Good luck ya’ll!!
